Chapter 3
*Chirp* *Chirp*
Yukina's eyelids twitched lightly from the light shining on her face from outside. She slowly awakens to find her son sleeping next to her as she recalls yesterday's events. She couldn't help but smile at her son.
Yukina: "It's time to wake up Sea-chan" she rubbed Seal's hair.
Seal: "Ugh... 5 more minutes please." He groaned.
Yukina: "Okay, I will get breakfast ready. Make sure to be down in 10 minutes." She said as she got up from the bed.
Seal: "Mmm... Got it." He dozed off again.
10 minutes later, Seal got out of his room and went down to the kitchen. Seeing his mom cooking he couldn't help but ask.
Seal: "Do you need help mom?"
Yukina: "Hm? Oh, Sea-chan sure!"
A while later, they both sat down at the dining table to eat.
Seal & Yukina: "Itadakimasu (Thanks for the food)"
Seal: "Mom where are Elenor nee-san and Alice?"
Yukina: "They won't be home for a few days since they are having a sleepover at their friend's house."
Seal: "Oh okay."
'Can I tell my family about you System?' Yukina asked her System.
[Host can. The System does not force you to do anything.]
'Okay.'
Yukina: "Hey Sea-chan, I want to tell you something. Have you heard of the Systems, the kind of Systems in novels and mangas?"
Seal: "I have, why?"
Yukina: "Well they are real, you see..."
Yukina spent the next hour telling Seal what the System told her about Systems. During that time Seal went through a series of changes in expressions. From being confused to surprised, stupefied, and blissful.
'System why is the rate only 1 out of 5,000,000?'
[Host that is because there is a requirement for a person to unlock a System. The higher-tier Systems have a more difficult requirement to unlock them. The requirement varies from each person."
'Oh? What was my requirement and what tier are you?'
[DING! Host requirements were to [Experience an event that brings you to the brink of depression]. And I am a Tier 5 System host. The tiers are categorized like this:
Tier 1 - Common Tier
Tier 2 - Rare Tier
Tier 3 - Legendary Tier
Tier 4 - Mythical Tier
Tier 5 - Unique Tier
My tier is called Unique because I am one of the only 3 remaining Unique Systems. In other words, I am a special System. Unique tier Systems have a unique feature exclusive to them. The unique feature that those Systems have is Shop where they can buy uncountable things. Hence why Unique Systems have 4 features instead of 3]
'I see...'
???: "Mom helloooo? Earth to mom."
Yukina: " Eh? Oh sorry, Sea-chan I was talking to the System."
Seal: "Oh okay, what did you guys talk about?"
Yukina: " I was asking it some questions about tier it was. What I learned was that it was a Unique tier System and there can only be 1 of it. There can be other unique tier Systems but no other Unique Systems would have the same tasks as mine."
Seal: "Interesting... Hey mom, do I also have one?" He asked expectantly.
Yukina seeing her son like that couldn't help but ask the System.
'Hey System can you check what my son's requirement to unlock a System is?"
[DING! Impossible host, the Systems does not interfere with one another.]
'Oh, I see.'
Yukina: "I'm sorry Sea-chan mom does not know what you need to do to unlock the system."
Seal hearing that was disappointed but soon cheered up. After talking to his mom, he decided to spend some time outside with her. The mom and son pair hung out until Seal had to go back abroad.
Yukina divorced her husband the day before her son left.
＜Present time＞
His mom and Seal are currently hugging each other in his room. Seal shook his head thinking that the past is the past.
Seal: "I miss you too."
Yukina: "So how was studying abroad? What school are you planning on going to now?" She said while releasing her hug.
Seal: "Hahaha it was great, mom. I have already applied and gotten approval to enter sisters' school, I heard it just changed from girls only to co-education." Seal said.
Seal's sisters went to an all-girls school before it changed to co-education. Their school is ranked top 3 in the whole country, and most importantly it is home to numerous beauties. And tomorrow was the start of a new school year.
Yukina: "You know a lot huh? Is there something... you're hiding from me?" She said
Seal: "N-no not at all." Seal started sweating when he saw his mom's eyes become dark.
Yukina hearing that started regaining light in her eyes.
Yukina: "Come down to eat dinner once you're done cleaning yourself. I will go inform the others." She said as she walked to Alice and Elenor's room.
＜A while later~＞
Currently, at the dining table, 4 people can be seen talking and laughing with each other.
Seal: "Ah, I'm excited about school tomorrow!"
Elenor: "Ara, I can't wait."
Alice: "Nee nee, big brother I want you to feed me!"
Everyone chuckled at Alice's antics. Seal had no reason to refuse as this can be considered family bonding time for them.
Seal: "Ok ok, say aah now Alice."
Alice: "aah~, *chomp* mmm~ delicious big brother!" Alice let out her brightest smile.
Seal: "Haha Alice you're so cute." Seal said as he stretched her cheeks.
Alice: "Big brotwer, it huwts sow muuch." Alice became teary-eyed as she was surprised to get her cheeks pulled.
Yukina: "Seal-chan, stop pulling your sister's cheeks she's about to cry now."
What Seal's mom said was right, Alice was indeed about to cry. Seal noticing that, hurriedly release his hold of her soft cheeks. Alice looks very funny right now because she was holding her red cheeks with her snow-white hands.
Alice: "Big brother, you bully!" She said while pretending to be angry but her expression just makes her a lot cuter.
Seal was chuckling when he felt a tug at his sleeve. He turned around to see Elenor having her mouth wide open.
Elenor: "Feed me. Quickly."
Seal knowing his elder sister would be jealous if he didn't feed her, fed her some takoyaki. She happily ate the food and soon asked for more.
The family of 4 enjoyed dinner for the rest of the day. They then bid each other goodbye and went to sleep in their respective room.
They didn't notice 2 pairs of massive eyes in the sky looking down at them.
