Chapter 28

"Who are you?" The little girl asked. She stared at Seal with her curious eyes.

"Where are the bad guys?" She continued in a scared tone.

"They won't bother you anymore." Seal said.

Hearing that, the little girl was shocked, but then a smile appeared on her face.

"Big brother, did you help me?"

"Erm, no. I didn't mean to save you. The bad guys attacked me, so I killed them." Seal saw the little girl's adorable face and felt that he couldn't lie to her.

Indeed, he didn't mean to save the little girl. At first, he thought the Dagon they were talking about was a different one. But this proved that he was wrong.

But, he realized something was odd.

The meeting with the little girl was supposed to be not until sometime later. But he happened to meet her out here.

Seal understood, no. Seal knew it was because of his presence in this world that the timeline got changed.

But Seal was not complaining. If anything, he was glad that he saved the little girl earlier. It saved Seal a lot of time.

"Oh, I see." The girl looked a little down, but her smile soon came back.

"Big brother, can you find my mom?" The blue-haired girl asked.

"Un, we'll talk about that later. How about I get you out of here?" Seal asked.

The girl smiled wider when she heard Seal's answer. She nodded her cute little head excitedly.

Seal stored all the weapons in the carriage inside the system's storage and picked the little girl up with both hands.

Before he went back to the camp, he burned the carriage along with the corpses of the men.

Then he proceeded to walk away from the burning wreckage with the little girl clinging to his neck.

Meanwhile, the heroes were anxiously waiting for Seal to return. Yue told them to be calm and trust Seal, but they couldn't help but be anxious. After all, he was part of the group that was protecting them.

But they soon realized their anxiousness was needless when they saw Seal returning.

Then they noticed something wrong. Why was there a child clinging to Seal's neck?

"Who's that on your head?"

Yue was the first one to ask Seal about the little girl clinging to him.

"I found her with the troublesome people." He replied.

"What about the troublesome people," Aiko asked.

"Oh, I sent them to the afterlife." Seal said nonchalantly.

The heroes heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that.

"Nee, can I hold her?" Shea said with sparkly eyes.

"Yeah. What's your name, little girl?" Seal directed his attention toward the girl clinging to his neck.

"Myu." The girl answered.

"That's a nice name, Myu. I will leave you with them, okay?" Seal said as he pats her head.

"Um!" Myu nodded.

Seal handed Myu to Shea.

"Okay, Myu, let's get you clean up," Shea said.

"You guys go and get a good rest." Seal said the group of heroes. Then he proceeded to enter his tent with Yue.

...

"We've arrived!" Aiko said excitingly as they reached their destination.

"Thank you for accompanying us." She then continued to thank Seal and his group for protecting them from dangers.

"It's a pleasure." Yue said.

"Without accompanying you guys, we wouldn't have met this adorable girl." Shea added right after Yue.

"I enjoyed it as well." Seal said.

'I'm sure we will be meeting again very soon.' Seal added in his mind.

After saying goodbye to each other, they went on their separate way.

(A/N: Short unedited chapter today. I'm in the car going to NYC to do a school project. Good news is that I don't have any work to do besides participate in one event (school project) for Saturday afternoon, so I have the whole Saturday night and Sunday to write a lot.)
