Recovering

"Now that angel is healing that human, I better get out of here..." the demon thought to himself and began crawling away. "To think, I'd encounter an Angel Prime of all things! If I escape and let them know, I'll get more recognition."

"Light Sword."

*STAB!*

While he was crawling away, hoping he'd return to his respective realm, a sword of light bolts into his hand, staking him to the ground.

"GYYIIIIGH!!" the demon screeched as the baneful magic burns his hand, letting off smoke.

"I did not say you can walk away." Arex said as she is continually using her Blessing Magic on me. The demon's face twists into despair as she glares at him having her one hand toward me and the other at the demon.

"W-wait! If you spare my life, I'll forget that we ever met! No, I'll join your human's army!" the demon bargained.

*STAB!* *STAB!* *STAB!* *STAB!*

Multiple swords of light pierce the demon, making sure he doesn't even get out alive.

"I don't make deals with demons." Arex said. She then clenched her hand.

*Vwee-BWOOSH!*

The swords glow brightly and exploded in a bright dome, destroying the demon's body without a trace.

[Rank F target slain. 10,000 EP acquired.]

[Aura contamination is now at Tier VII.]

[Regeneration increased. However, the effects are still reduced.]

[Bleeding has slowed. ETA before death: 4 minutes.]

"Good, Arex. Now heal me." I said to Arex with telepathy. She nodded and used her Tier VIII Healing Magic.

[Tier VIII Healing detected.]

[Bleeding has been slowed greatly. ETA before death: 30 minutes.]

With her magic, I am getting better every time, but aside from bleeding, I am still messed up and still absorbing the aura.

Aura is different to magic as aura is always unique, even if two Aura Users are identical twins, no aura is the same. Aura can be blocked by conventional means like magic, but there is a major difference.

Aura cannot be absorbed due to Aura Contamination. Aura Contamination is an ailment that is like poison, but it can't be removed by an antidote. To remove it, one must have the aura to combat this contamination. Those without aura or magic can survive if the contamination is low. Otherwise, they're fucked.

Resisting aura by body alone is rare, but nullifying it and absorbing it is unheard of as the contamination

[Aura contamination is now at Tier IV.]

"It's working. Again." I said to Arex. She did it again and my condition began to improve greatly.

[Bleeding has been slowed greatly. ETA until death: 1 hour.]

[Aura contamination removed. Aura is now condensed into a singular location.]

[Now regenerating injuries...]

[Now initiating Aura Conversion. You cannot use magic during conversion.]

With that, my bones and organs that were decimated by the impact and the contamination began to quickly repair itself. The aura inside me that was Zaneth's is changing, converting into my own.

Still, I can't do magic. However, once it's over, I can have a second set of arsenal if magic happens to be sealed.

[Regeneration threshold reached. Now evolving skill...complete.]

[Hyper Regeneration acquired.]

With that notification, popping up, my body began fixing itself quicker than ever. My organs became normal, my limbs also fixed itself, and my eye that was destroyed grew back.

[Bleeding has stopped. You are no longer in danger.]

[Bone structure restored.]

[Organ functionality normal.]

[All injuries healed.]

[Unique skill acquired. Survivor.]

I take a deep breath and slowly get up and Gris pounces on me and began licking my face.

"Hey, Gris! Hahaha, I'm here, buddy, I'm here." I chuckled and rubbed his head and back.

*Whiiiine....*

Gris cried in happiness that I am miraculously alive and well. He stayed with me and kept watch, despite ignoring the demon.

"I'm sorry, Gris. You must've been worried sick seeing me like this." I console Gris, patting him.

"Whew...thank goodness, you're alive." Arex sighed. "Can you stand?"

"Let's see..." I tried to stand. I put my hands on a tree nearby to help myself, but the legs of mine decided to become wet noodles.

*Thump!*

I fell to my knees which caused Arex to rush over and lend her shoulder.

"The aura contamination and those injuries...it would've undoubtedly killed you even with the regeneration and magic." Arex said.

"Yeah, but if it weren't for you, I would've died for real." I smirked. "I owe you my life."

"All it matters is that you are alive." Arex smiled.

*Woof!*

Gris barked too to say he agrees wholeheartedly that all it mattered that I am alive. I soon regain the strength of my legs and began walking normally. I look at myself that my armor is in tatters and my halberd is heavily damaged.

"System, how is my weapon and armor?"

[The halberd, Red Moon is severely damaged. The Padded Leather Coat is also severely damaged. Nightly Shroud is on the verge of destruction.]

[Repair for 330,000 EP?]

"Do it."

[Acknowledged. Now repairing...]

The damaged equipment that was in danger of being unusable began fixing itself back into perfect condition. Just as if it was fresh off the market.

"Good as new." I thought and twirled my halberd in my hand as to admire it's now pristine condition.

I look at the mountain that had the bandits residing there and already knew that Zaneth is the one who sent me at death's door. Luckily, he didn't come after me because he thought his attack was sure to kill me. Even if he knew he didn't, his army took heavy damage from Vampa and Burya's attacks. Also, his structures are destroyed and I cut off any supply route they had.

"Kain, what should we do next?" Arex said.

"First, we better head back to the city." I said. "Zala, come to my location."

*Sputter!*

Zala neighs saying she's on her way. Knowing that she is an Umbra Horse, she'll reach to my location in a short time.

"System, what weather would it be tonight?"

[It will be heavy rain within 8 hours. High chance of a thunderstorm.]

Ah, this could be good for scaring people and causing havoc at the same time. Another storm will fall and it may as well be a good indicator that their might is gonna be a bad night.
