Being an Adventurer Again

A few days go by and breaking news swept the kingdoms and villages alike. Nolten is no exception to it. We saw the news for the bandit problem and the corruption.

It was later revealed that Alphonse murdered a previous governor, Rudolph Timerz via assassination.

They are charged with Treason, Forgery, Power Abuse, Murder, and Attempted Wartime. Their punishment will be Execution.>

I see they left out the hero awakening, the undead army, the fire, and the Black Horseman. Good thing they wrapped it up that way because they can't make the citizens uneasy from the undead army coming out of nowhere.

With that in mind, we set out to head to Noltia and resume our adventure. I remember being at Stone Rank last time.

"You're going to adventure again?" Ezo said.

"Yeah, we can't just stay Stone Rank forever." Hyoran said.

"Even though the bandits are gone, always be prepared, okay?" Tuya said.

"Yes, mom. We'll miss you." I said.

"We'll miss you too." Tuya smiled, wiping a small tear from her eye.

"Alright, Zala. Let's go!" I said.

*NEEIIIGH!*

Zala neighed and began running. Viri, Schwarze, Groza, Vampa, and Burya followed suit high in the sky where Gris and Noire run along, keeping up with Zala. My goal to Dystoark is now a step closer.

{Later...}

We reached to Noltia in less than an hour which is insane compared to the regular carriage where it took a couple hours. Zala is hella fast!

As we reached the gate, the knights stopped us with their spears.

"What is your purpose here?" the knight said.

"We're here for adventuring. I am a Stone Ranked Adventurer." I said.

"Me too!" Hyoran added.

We gave them our ranks and they looked and they nodded.

"Cause no trouble." the knight said and stepped aside.

We went inside the kingdom and headed directly to the guild.

As we went inside the guild, we looked for missions for Stone Ranks.

"Ah, found one." Hyoran said and pulled the paper.

Nyta and being threatened by goblins. Then this means Nyta is a small village and lightly defended if at all.

We took the paper and went to the receptionist to accept the quest. The female receptionist looked at it and stamped it for acceptance of quest.

"We pray for your success!" the receptionist said as she smiled.

We walked out of the guild and see the people walk by.

"Zala. Come on out." I said.

*Shoom!*

Zala jumped out of my shadows and multiple people noticed.

"Where did that horse come from?"

"It's completely black..."

We climbed on Zala began heading out.

"Did these kids own a horse?"

"It can't be, one is a Human and the other is a Lycanian."

I can hear the conversation about us riding a horse, but I ignore them as we need to get to the quest and get higher in rank.

We reached the outside gate generally where it leads to Nyta and gave me the opportunity to sprint.

"To Nyta, Zala!" I yelled.

*Neeiiigh!*

Zala neighed and began sprinting out of the gate, leaving every person and carriage in the dust. However, since it's about an hour on foot, we can cut it to an instant.

"Hyoran, I'm gonna use Space Magic, hold on tight!" I said.

"Okay!" Hyoran nodded.

I put my hand out and summoned a rift.

*Vzooom!*

A rift opens in front of us, but it shows the location instead of a warping blue space. Zala jumped into the rift to travel.

*Vzoop!*

*Thump!*

We reached Nyta in an instant and I closed the rift behind us.

"You...you made it here in an instant." Hyoran balked.

"With that, we can use it to complete quests." I said.

The reason why I am able to reach Nyta instantly is because of Viridesca, Schwarze, Vampa, Burya, and Groza scouting the places and me using Overvision to look through them.

When it comes to Space Jump, which is a Tier II Space Magic spell, it takes the caster to a different place instantly when they've been here before. It's effectiveness increases as one level up and their Tier increases. However, they cannot go places they've never been here before and if they run out of magic, the rift won't open.

Viridesca went to the North and Northwest of Noltia, Groza went West and near the Telgrin Mountains since many flying monsters might attack Groza if he went inside. Vampa went Southwest, Burya went South, and Schwarze went East. I used Overvision on them one at a time, but in my curiosity I tried to do it to multiple views.

I ended up with a minor case motion sickness after that. But I am able to reach many places instantly.

We ride down to the village where it was barely 200 people. That village would've been long toast when it came to bandits.

"Chief! We have adventurers!" a young boy yelled.

Many other villagers went out to see us, but were cautious. I don't blame them, after the fall of the Red Claw Bandits, they still have problems when it came to monsters invading the village.

"Thank you for heeding our request, young adventurers. After the fall of the Red Claws, we have more problems regarding the monsters. Most of our able-bodied people died or kidnapped from the bandits including the innocents. Now, we're barely keeping the low-rank monsters in check." the chief said.

The bandits may be gone, but the damage was already done. Now, it's up to the empires to fix it while adventurers try to kill the monsters.

"Just tell us where are the goblins are. We'll take care of them." I said.

"They're up ahead. It was said there was 20, but Goblins can go over that much sooner." the chief said.

"Alright. Let's go, Zala." I said and she began sprinting, exiting the village in moments. It was then when Viridesca came out and gestured to follow her.

We followed her through the dense trees and finally reached the goblin camp.

[25 goblins detected, varying from G-E.]

We got off of Zala and we get our weapons ready.

I pulled out my Red Moon and Hyoran's Water Falchion out of my Space Storage.

"Hyoran, let's get started." I said.

"Okay!" Hyoran agreed.
