Speeding Too Much (Part 1)

We finally got our Iron Rank and went back to our normal ways to start going up in ranks. We can get paid more money and hold on to stronger weapons. Although, they're wary of the Black Horseman, so I better wear something different and get a different weapon.

I see a quest for us to take.

"Hmm...this will be good." I said. I took the quest and went to the receptionist to accept it.

"Be careful, those monsters in a dungeon are more aggressive than in the wilderness." the receptionist warned us.

We nodded and went on our merry way to the dungeon.

We went outside of the guild and got on to Zala.

"To Telgrin, Zala." I said and Zala began walking through the crowd until we left the kingdom.

When we see the open road, I flicked the reins and Zala began sprinting along towards the Telgrin Mountains.

I then used Space Magic to go to the dungeon quickly by opening a rift.

*Vzzoop!*

We finally reached the entrance of Telgin Mountains and the entrance of the dungeon. The entrance is wide that it can fit 3 fully grown elephants side to side.

"Wow...it's huge..." Hyoran said with her eyes wide.

"Yeah, but first...rank A for you." I said.

[Acknowledged. 200,000 EP deducted.]

"Oh! Hnnngh!" Hyoran groans and hunches over has her body is being forcibly strengthened by me ranking her up.

Hyoran holds her arms and writhes as the process of ranking up progresses. That is until...

*Bwoosh!*

"Wow...I feel a lot stronger. What rank am I?" Hyoran said.

"Rank A." I replied. Hyoran stared at me blankly.

"Um...aren't I stronger than every other children?" Hyoran asked.

"You were stronger than any children the moment you hit Rank C. You're also stronger than the average man." I said. "So, you ready to take on this dungeon?"

"Yeah!" Hyoran jumped in joy and we started running inside.

Ah, yes. Evolutionism also has a Dungeon System where player monsters can either create or conquer. The Combat Rank is where monsters come in and it is factored of the number of monsters and the individual strength of monsters. Dungeon Rank is where it has the length, complexity, and the traps.

Also, monsters are created randomly and will attack any invaders on sight.

Dungeons also becomes more dangerous over time as the monsters are randomly created and if the number of monsters reach a threshold, it will cause a Dungeon Break.

Dungeon Breaks are where dungeons can no longer hold the amount of monsters and the monsters began escaping the dungeons. This influx of monsters from Dungeon Breaks can range from a inconvenience to a server-wide nightmare. Some benefited, some suffered.

"Alright. Arex, Saeva, Taudera, Stein, Flammen, Paura, Gris, Noire, Mirtis, Mavros. Come on out!" I said.

*Shoom!*

*Bwing!*

All of my monsters come out from various places such as my shadow, my Isolated Space, and from the other realms. They all fit with plenty of space around them since this dungeon is wide.

I pulled out my halberd from the Isolated Space to start my first dungeon raid. I smiled as I am about to start my very first raid again.

"Let's rai--!" As I yelled in excitement, a blur went by, interrupting me.

"Weeee!" Hyoran squealed as she dashed towards the enemies with excitement. I was shocked that she went in with guns blazing.

*Slice!*

*Slash!*

"Gyaaagh!"

"Aaarrooow!"

"Kiiiek!"

The monsters are already dying by her hand. But I can't let her get caught by an ambush.

"Follow Hyoran!" I said and dashed through the dungeon and began seeing the corpses of the monsters.

Gris, Noire, Mavros, Saeva, and Arex followed me as they have a faster speed.

The dungeon has torches on each side and a chandelier for every tenth pair of torches. The shape of the dungeon is but a straight line where multiple monsters lie in wait.

But Hyoran's rampage has already littered the dungeon with corpses. Goblins, Skeletons, Silver Wolves, Earth Slimes, Brown Spiders, and many more.

I see Hyoran's figure in the distance and I grabbed her arm to turn her around.

"Hyoran!" I yelled.

"Huh? Kain?" Hyoran blinked. Hyoran was breathing hard and her body is warmer than usual. Is it because she ran to the enemies and killed them in the process? And her Water Falchion has shown small amounts of wear and tear.

I looked around to see a floating crystal at the size of my palm and is giving a gray glow. But first, I should focus on Hyoran for now.

"Hyoran, did you kill them all?" I asked.

"Yeah...I did." Hyoran replied. She suddenly giggled.

"Hyoran, why did you rush ahead? Also, how did you kill all of these monsters? 40 of them were killed." I asked.

"I don't know...when we came into the dungeon, I feel a sudden rush of power. I was much faster and stronger." Hyoran said as she continues panting. Whatever happened, it gave her an adrenaline rush.

I checked Hyoran's stats.

Woah...A+? Also, she got Enhanced Speed and Strength? Wait...Warrior's Ambition!? Neither Ezo nor Tuya got that skill! Is she...growing too fast?

Sure, I jranked her up a few times and put her at A so that she doesn't fall too far, but if this keeps up, she'll surpass her parents!

[You have located the Dungeon Core.]

If I destroy the core, I can cash in the EP and make it my own. If I conquer it, I have to pay EP to do so. When I do conquer it, I can move my core to a different location. But conquering the dungeon is not important now.

I grabbed the crystal ball and clenched it tightly.

*Crack!*

*KSSSHH!*

So me killing monsters in the dungeon while it's active won't give me EP for each one? Well, it's not the best way to grind, but it will help with experience.

Ah, another skill for my collection and allows me to create a dungeon.

[Due to the destruction of a dungeon core. The space will soon collapse and force you and your companions out to the entrance.]

The space around us that is a dungeon began to warp and distort. The colors began to mix and melt until everything became a blur.

*Vzzwoop!*

The dungeon spat us out in an instant, putting us back where we first started.

"We're back. That felt weird when everything warped." I thought. "But that was cool!"

I looked around to see that I am missing no monsters around and no onlookers detected.

*Vzoom!*

"Alright guys, head on back in." I said.

The monsters that came from the Isolated Space quickly went back in to remain hidden again. Gris, Noire, Mirtis, and Mavros went into my shadow. Saeva vanishes in a plume of black flames and Arex is the last to remain.

"You have Space Magic? At Tier X?" Arex said.

"Yeah, I unlocked one of my seals and I'm able to use Space Magic." I said.

"You...you continue to get stronger, but with the sheer amount of skills...not even Zaneth awakening doesn't even have that much." Arex said in astonishment.

"I'm just making sure we survive. This world can be beautiful and cruel." I said.

Arex notices Hyoran breathing heavily and soon became relaxed.

"She just hit A+ and has been like this since we entered the dungeon. I saw nothing wrong with her or I would've known." I explained.

Arex touches Hyoran's shoulder and notices something.

"Kain...Hyoran is in the process of a growth spurt." Arex concluded.
