Jason thought. He was confused. Trying to find answers to his thoughts but it was helpless. He picked up his phone and called his boss. "Hey I have a question about the boy," He said, trying to calm himself. "What?" His boss replied, annoyed. "Are you sure he's the right one?" He asked. "Yes, why?" The boss asked.
"Well, he's being bullied. Isn't he a mafia kid" Jason asked. He wanted answers now. But it didn't seem like he was going to get any. "I thought I told you to just do your job?! No Questions Asked!" His boss yelled, angry. Before Jason could reply he hung up.
"Fuck" He cursed as he punched the wall. He was becoming frustrated. He wanted answers. Now the only way he was going to get them was if went straight to Karson's parents. Jason let out a sigh as he collapsed onto his bed. His hands-on his face. He didn't know what to do now. He was becoming overwhelmed with the new wave of emotions he was feeling. He's never even felt overwhelmed before. He heard his phone ding.
He picked it up and saw a message from Karson. He did his best to ignore it but he couldn't. No matter how hard he tried he found himself picking up his phone and replying to him. Which brought him to where he is now. Sitting in front of Karson in his living room. "You have a nice home" Karson smiled. "Thanks" He nodded. "I'm not bothering you right? Because if I am, you can tell me" Karson replied, his voice held a tinge of sadness. "No, you not," Jason said quickly. Karson nodded. "Do you mind if I sit here? " He asked pointing to the spot next to him.
"No go ahead" Jason shrugged as he looked down. "Jase your bleeding" Karson said worry laced his voice. He grabbed his hand as he pulled out his kitten pouch. As he cleaned his wound Jason was staring at him. He thought. Karson looked up at him as he noticed his fist clenching. "Am I hurting you?" He asked, softly. He thought.
He was angry. At his boss for giving him the job in the first place. But he was mostly angry at himself. He didn't know what he was doing. He looked up at Karson who looked worried. "Jase what's wrong?" He asked. "I'm sorry. I-I don't know" Jason replied, his face was blank but his eyes told a different story. Karson pulled him into his chest "I'm sorry if I'm invading your space. But hugs help when you feel down. Well, it helps me" Karson said, softly. Jason held onto Karson's shirt tightly as he ran his hands through his hair.
Their moment though was ruined when he heard a small meow. He opened his eyes just in time to see a peach-colored kitten come out of Karson's bag. " I couldn't leave him at my house. If you don't want-" Karson was cut off by Jason's hand. "I don't mind," He said as he put his face back into his chest. "Okay," Karson said softly a smile coming onto his face.
They cuddled there for a long time. To the point, Jason fell asleep in his arms. He smiled. He moved to grab his pouch and continued cleaning his fist. He placed three bear band-aids on him. "Now can you stop moving," Jason asked, his eyes still closed. "Oh sorry. I'll stop" Karson apologized as he leaned back onto the couch. He eventually fell asleep.
The next morning the two were awoken to the sound of Karson's alarm. He sat up quickly which wasn't a good idea since he got lightheaded. "Ugh it's morning already" Jason groaned as he stood up. "I know. It sucks" Karson pouted as he stretched his body. "My neck hurts" He whined as he fell back onto the couch. "Yeah sorry about that," Jason said as he looked down rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's ok" Karson smiled as he ruffled his hair. Jason looked up at him with a small smile. "Uhm do you need to go home or do you want to borrow some clothes," Jason asked, changing the subject quickly. "Oh, I brought some. Thanks though" Karson smiled, but he soon started to regret it. He wanted to know how felt wearing Jason's clothes but now he wouldn't know.
He pouted. "You okay?" Jason asked as he tapped his chin. "Yep" Karson smiled, a small blush spread on his cheeks. "Alright, well I'm going to go change. You can you use the bathroom it's under the staircase" Jason replied awkwardly. He nodded as he watched Jason leave upstairs. He sighed and leaned against the couch. "Haru" He called. He heard the familiar bell of his cat. "Are you hungry?" Karson smiled as he pulled out his bowl. He fed him before he left to get dressed.
When he left the bathroom he saw Jason staring at Haru curiously. "You want to hold him", Karson asked, happily. "Sure" Jason replied, tilting his head to the side when he saw Haru begin purring when Karson kissed his head. "Here" He smiled. Jason held him and watched as Haru curiously sniff him. "You look similar" Karson giggled. "Huh," Jason asked, tilting his head to the side again, in confusion. "So cute" Karson cooed as he squished his cheeks. Jason gave him a small shy smile.
Karson pushed back Jason's bangs to reveal cat-like eyes. One of his eyes however was blue and had a scar running across it. While his other eyes were green. Jason stared at him wondering how he would react. "Jase you look like a little kitten" Karson smiled. Which caught him off guard. Everyone always stared at him in fear when he wouldn't cover it up but seeing Karson's reaction he was confused. "Little?" He asked, as he glanced down at Karson's feet which were on his tip toes. "Shush" Karson smiled before he dropped his feet. Jason stared amused at how his height dropped. A small smile formed on his face.
"You look like my dog," Jason said. Karson laughed, thinking he was joking. But he stopped when he saw that Jason was being serious. "Ah come on Jase that's mean" He pouted as he pushed his shoulder. "I didn't mean it as a bad thing," Jason said, confused. "Hmph, whatever" Karson pouted. "But you do though" Jason replied as he pulled out his phone. He showed Karson a picture of an adorable small white puppy. "Aw he's so cute" Karson gasped in awe. "See I told you. He looks like you" Jason replied, bluntly.
