As I was climbing up the stairs in all fumbles and foot stepping, I meet an elderly woman on the floor of the second floor. She was waiting for me apparently, she said she heard struggling so waited behind to help whoever it was. I shouldn’t lie, I was shocked.
Who would wait for anyone struggling up the stairs? I even questioned the integrity of that statement but she looked genuinely concerned and ready to help. It was not every day you see such souls hanging around.
I look back at her, she said something but I didn’t get it. I was too busy questioning her motives. "I’m sorry come again' I politely answer.
"Oh I said is it ok if you let me carry one of them up the stairs?' she asks.
I look down at my two pups being comfortable torturing their mom with their heavy weight. Hesitantly I reply, "I don’t know, I wouldn’t want to impose on you.'
