The Shift
"Lilliana, are you alright?" Zander asked. His iris started to change to red and so as his fangs elongated due to the threat that he feels around his family. Alpha Max and Zach become alerted due to Zander's sudden change.
"A wolf is crying in pain." Lilliana's eyes already changed to yellow as if his wolf wants to take over. "Mike!"
All of them left the office and rushed to Mike's room.
"Chris had mind-linked that they are heading to the greenhouse.

Mike placed Liza in the bed at the greenhouse then Liam checked his arms and hands due to the scalding. After soothing balms had been applied to his arms, Mike started to feel ache in his joints.
"Son, are you alright?" Lillian rushed to her son's side to check on him.
"Yeah, just a little body ache. It would go out eventually I haven't had workout for a while." Mike suddenly fall to his knees but Lilliana had caught him halfway before he fall to the ground.
"Mike!"
"Son!"
Amelia rushed to their said to check on Mike leaving Liza in her husband. She touched his forehead and saw that Mike and Liza will have their first change at the same time.
"Please have the clearing secured. We will make some aromatic diffusers to calm them. They might have their first shift tonight."
Zach hugged Katrina and left the greenhouse together with Liam and Samantha. Liam instructed the witches to secure the area and Samantha and Zach organize a tightened patrol for the borders. Amelia and Katrina started making the diffusers while Samuel, Lilliana and Zander stayed with Liza and Mike.
Liza toss and turn in her sleep while Mike whimpers. Their parents tried to cool them down thru damp cloth. Once the diffusers were ready, Amelia made sure to put some near their nostrils and helped lessen their agony in sleepy.
When the sun had set, they decided to bring them at the clearing. Alpha Max, Samantha and Zach brought food for them and take turn for them to freshen up. Liam followed them to the clearing once the parents went inside the house
"Mmmm... Mmmnnnn..." Liza started to whimper and sweating profusely.
"It is starting. Samantha, tell them to hurry." Alpha Max said. Samantha dashed to the pack house to get the parents she also informed Chris and Marie if they wanted to witness the shift of their friends.
Chris was hesitating but Marie urged that they should go. Chris instructed Marie to wear warm clothes so she would not be cold in the forest clearing. He also brought extra blanket in case she would need it if the temperature become colder.
After 15 minutes, they return to the clearing. Liza's appendices started to grow white fir while Mike's sprout black fur. They applied aromatic diffusers to help them calm down and to speed up the process but to no avail, the process seemed to be so slow
"Mmmmnnnhhh,,, mmmmnnn,,."
"They keep on whimpering, would there be any way to help them to speed this up? it would be very painful for them," Amelia asked and Samuel approach to comfort her in his embrace.
"It'll be over. Don't worry," Lilliana tries to assures Amelia by giving her hand a light squeeze. "They are doing very well. When I had my shift, I am awake. It is too painful for my body and too stressful. They had sedated me so I would stop on trashing the place."
"Being in Alpha line has its perks but the cons is great specially in shifting especially if they are not accepting it. The kids seems not to be fighting the change so you don't have to be worry," Zander said and he hugged his wife Lilliana.

In Liza's dream, a white wolf had appeared. The white wolf is like 15 feet tall standing and its body is almost 30 feet in length from nose to tip of its tail.
"You are beautiful," Liza said,
"Hello, Annaliza!" Liza heard someone called but it is only the wolf whom she is seeing.
'Maybe I am hallucinating. Animals don't talk.'
"Well, I am different from other animals. I am your wolf."
"Oh! Hi!. What is your name?"
"I am Amarantha."
Liza tries reaching her head to pet. The wolf sits and bow down so Liza could reach her. Once her hand touches the head of the wolf. everything was engulf with white light.

Mike is with a black wolf sitting and having a staring contest in his dream. Whatever Mike tries to do, the animal imitates him.
"Could you stop staring and copying me?" Mike said to the wolf annoyed.
"I am curious to you, Dumbass. I never thought that you would act like a child."
"Are you the one who talked? Chris said he could communicate to his wolf. Are you my wolf?"
"Yes. I am Vikram and you are Michael Alejandro."
Mike made a hand gesture to make the wolf come to him. The wolf slowly approach him as he is afraid that he would not be accepted by his human.
"You walk way to slowly." Mike jump to the wolf and hugged it then everything was enveloped my white light.

"Their whimpers are getting louder," Amelia said.
They heard breaking and popping sounds and after a moment, they are faced to faced with two giant unconscious wolves.
"They are bigger than Alpha Max," Zach said.
"I feel like a pup," Samantha said.
"Would they be alright?" Marie asked.
"They are waking up," Samuel announced.
The wolves started to twitch their ears and opened their eyes slowly. Trying to get to used to their new form, they slowly lifted their heads and look at their surroundings. The black wolf was able to sit and using his head, he is nudging the white one to sit but she snorted and covered her head with her paws. The black wolf stands and walks to the front of the white wolf then it licked her snout urging her not to hide. The white wolf tries to sit and nudges her head to the chest of the black wolf.
"Even in wolf, they are true mates," Amelia said. "They are amazing."
"Aaahhh!"
"Samuel!"
Amelia tried to catch her husband from falling but she failed as he quickly transformed to a wolf slightly smaller than the white and black wolves. The other shapeshifters followed as they felt the urge to transform in their wolves when they felt the call of the new shifters. Only Amelia, Liam, Marie and Zander were left unaffected since they do not have a wolf bloodline.
From a distant, they started to hear howls and cries of shifting wolves as if they are calling to one another. After all the cries had died down, the two giant wolves howled loudly calling to the moon that would make other wolves feel inferior. all the wolves in the clearing bowed down to the new shifters even Alpha Max as the powers they are emitting are enough to make someone higher ranking back down.
Out of nowhere, Amelia decided to take a photo of her daughter and son-in-law in their wolf. The black wolf is standing in his four legs beside the white wolf. His head is at the scruff of the white wolf leaning like he is hugging it. The white wolf is sitting beside the black wolf nudging her head to his chest showing that his presence is comfort to her.
"Auntie! Look! The tails!" Liam shouted that caught everyone's attention.
The giant wolves showed their tails but instead of having one tail, they noticed that they have nine. Amelia did not waste any time to capture the moment as if it was a magical phenomenon
"No wonder their tails were big and fluffy cause they are hiding the other tails to show only one.
They heard the howls of the giant wolves again and the shifters around them started to change to their human form. They were able to have a glimpse of the true form of the giant wolves before they hide their other eight tails again to form one big fluffy tail. They also noticed that there were omegas who has no wolf that were running to the clearing with blankets and robes for the perusal of the shifters who did not anticipate the change.
A repeated thank you and steps could be heard approaching to them. The others pack members wanted to see what had happened to the clearing and to witness what kind of wolf their new leaders would be.
