3. Destructive hurricanes.

Two empty chairs awaited us by a table full of boys.

I slapped on my lips the biggest smile of all time the closer we got to the boys as I prepared myself to give my sincere greeting to each, and every one of them. Well... except Luke since I'd already met him earlier but, yeah.

My eyes did a fast swoop at everyone around the table to determine who was who but before I could really finish, Suzy took my arm and rounded the table to where the two empty chairs sat.

"Hey boys," she said as she pulled out the chair closest to Luke, leaving me to pull out the other one between her and a good-looking blond guy.

"Hi," I chipped in as I slid out the chair as well and sat down. My smile still in place only this time, it wasn't the broaden I had before. This time it felt a little awkward. Don't ask me why, because I don't have the answer for you.

Only Luke and the blond guy said hi to me in return. The curly, dark-haired guy between them, only allowed the smallest curled of his pink almost red lips upward in what he must have thought was a smile and a little wave of his hand.

Something was familiar about him.

No, not him. Something was familiar about his eyes.

"Let me introduce you guys." Before I could think more about where I'd seen those piercing eyes, Suzy swooped in and planted her hand on my shoulder. "This is my best friend, Amelia. Amelia, you already know Luke," she said, then her eyes moved to the guy sitting next to me. "That one is Leo." She pointed to the blond guy.

"Hi." I turned my attention to the cute blond- Leo to my right and awkwardly waved my hand. In turn, his light brown eyes ran across my whole body before they settled on my face. He smiled. The deepest of the dimples appeared on both sides of his cheeks giving him the sweetest look, almost boyish and the moment his eyes lit up as he gave me his hand to shake, I knew we were going to be good friends.

"Hello to you too, beautiful."

His dimpled smile intensified. My small one also broadened into a bigger one as we continued looking at each other, grinning ear to ear like two idiots. I know, don't even ask me what was happening because again, I don't know.

"Okay, moving on," Suzy interrupted our longer than necessary handshake. Pointing a finger across from me, she introduced, "Logan."

Right, the one who was basically illegal according to her.

Now, I'm not saying I would agree about the illegal part but, I will say this. She was right about him being gorgeous alright. Hot, with hair that would make you want to run your fingers over his scarp over and over. Soft and curly. But, the most striking feature was his eyes.

Have you ever had somebody looking at you and you start feeling self-conscious? Like they could see through your soul? Well, his eyes made me feel like he could see my soul, my thoughts, hell, probably even the pancakes I stuffed myself with that morning.

Earthy green, like the hues of the forest surrounded by the darkest of moss. Which really brought a sense of déjà vu once I locked my dark ones to his.

I hadn't even realized I was still staring at him until he creased his thick eyebrows and cocked his head to the side, the action that caused the front mop of his black curls to sway closer to his eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Another déjà vu hit me like a hard wave across my face. 'Too slow.' was the word that rang in my ears repeatedly until it was all I could hear. I creased my forehead in confusion before the realization caused me to slowly narrow my eyes until they hit the point of fuming.

"You," I hissed. "It was you!"

"What?"

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. You punched me."

"He did what?" Luke who up to that point was quiet, letting the introductions move along, creased his brows in confusion as he stared between me and Logan who still looked at me like he'd seen a ghost.

"I did what?"

"It was him?" Suzy's surprised face could be seen by somebody a mile away. I don't think she ever expected the to-die-for guy was a jerk of an asshole who goes around punching girls in the middle of a field on a hot sunny day. Surprise!

"What the hell am I missing?" Leo said. "Dude, you punched a girl?"

"No, I didn't." Logan shook his head left and right vigorously, causing his hair to follow his movements. "I never even met her before. She's crazy."

Crazy? Crazy! I'll show him crazy.

Remember when I said I was a bit awkward by the time I sat down? All that had disappeared, replaced with anger and him calling me crazy just added fuel to the already blazing fire. The guy was unbelievable, he must have been a regular liar who began to believe his own lies because, from somebody else's eyes, he looked like he really had no idea what I was talking about. I planned on jogging up his memories.

"You punched me and then stole my victory ball."

Silence fell around the table as the five of us weighted the heaviness of my words. I could see it in his eyes the gears changing in his brain but see the thing is, I could also see a hint of genuine confusion behind his orbs. But in a flash, it was gone replaced by realization following with the newest kind of confusion. He blinked and proceeded to look at me up and down... well, the part of me that he could see anyway because the rest of my body was under the table which meant the part he could see was from my face to my stomach area.

I narrowed my eyes a bit more.

"That was you?"

Leo shot his hands up in astonishment. "So, it was true?"

"No. I mean, yes, but I didn't punch her. That's crazy talk. I only took the ball."

Let me tell you one thing and I think everybody should take a bolded note to this one. Anger is something you should not tap into. The more he opened his mouth to deny what he did, the more my anger boiled. Plus, that was the second time he called me crazy. I wasn't.

"Yes, you did," I said through my clenched teeth before I pointed my finger right where he punched me. "You punched me right here in your little robbery spree."

Another round of silence paid us a visit. This one was different from the first one. The first one had some kind of uncertainty to everyone but me as everybody tried to determine what I was saying. The current one was different because everybody confirmed it was indeed him and me in that field. Problem was, the two of us stuck to what we believed in. He punched me. He believed he didn't.

"Apologize," I said.

Everyone around the table turned to Logan. I assumed waiting to hear him apologizing which really was the only thing I wanted. Considering he caused me to pass out, what I asked for was a pretty small thing that shouldn't have been a big deal.

Apparently, it was.

"Okay, this is ridiculous." He threw his hand up in the air and pushed his chair backward before he stood up. "I didn't punch this girl; it was a game and I'm not apologizing for something I didn't do. I'm out of here."

Remember what I said earlier about not tapping into somebody's anger? He did just that and anger is one of the weirdest things on Earth because it can literally make you do things you normally wouldn't do. Generally, I'm not a confrontational kind of girl. In fact, I would rather stay as far away as humanly possible from any kind of it. But the moment he stood up to leave me there hanging, something snapped, and I stood right after him, and in a few steps, I was in front of him.

"Whoa guys," Luke said as he sprang into action and stood up as well. "Calm down."

I wasn't listening. I wanted him to apologize.

One thing I didn't remember on that field earlier, maybe because I was too busy passing out, was how tall he actually was compared to me. Standing this close he was somewhat intimidating with his broad shoulders and height. Something else I noticed standing this close, was how beautifully crafted his face was. Chiseled, and with eyes that looked like he could easily strike me down with if he looked at me hard enough. I stood my ground though.

"Apologize."

"No."

"Dude just apologize already." Luke interfered again. Logan didn't even bat an eye or turn to look at him. He continued to look me down.

"As I said, I'm not apologizing for something I didn't do."

Tears started welling behind my eyes. Angry tears and I hated it. He did it. He knew he did it, I wouldn't just be standing there in front of him like a crazy girl accusing him if I knew he didn't. If he couldn't apologize for something he did, I wanted him to at least feel what I felt. I wanted revenge which again wasn't something I did.

The heat started from my fingers, then my arm and before I knew what I was doing, I had curled my hand into a fist. You know what else I did that I would normally never do?

I let it fly towards his stomach.
