Soon after her conversation with Dean concluded, Beverley gave Mia a call. She did not pick up. Beverley became worried so she headed over to her apartment straight away.
Beverley practically ran from her hired car to Mia’s apartment entrance. The clicking sound of her three-inch heels rang loudly as she ran all the way to the intercom. She pressed her apartment number impatiently.
“Beverley?”
“Mia, are you ok?!” huffed Beverley.
“Yes. What are you doing here?” Buzz. Without answering, Beverley entered the building and headed to Mia’s floor.
Mia was waiting and holding the door for Beverley. She threw her arms around Mia, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry!” Mia was stunned that she felt the same way as her.
“Beverley,” Mia pushed her gently back. “I’m the one that should be sorry.”
Beverley cocked her head to one side, “Why?”
