True Self

Dean travelled to Miho Museum in silence. His companions also recognised his mood and left him alone. They guided him to the reception while they waited out front for the golf cart that would transport them to the separate museum building where they were to meet the elderly Mrs Koyama.

Dean had originally thought that the simple reception pavilion was the museum. He was relieved to be told that the main attraction was yet to come.

As the white golf cart followed a winding road lined with trees and local wildlife, a soft breeze gently touched the faces of the passengers. The road then led to a long dimly lit tunnel that crossed two mountains. Dean was transported to what seemed like an oasis deep in the forest. The first sight of the museum took his breath away.
