Dean found his way onboard his shinkansen to Tokyo. After he secured his luggage, he immediately pulled out the tray in front of him and placed his mobile phone face up on top. Then he glanced out the window as he patiently waited.
Dean was halfway on route to Tokyo when the phone finally rang. His eyes darted towards the phone and immediately picked it up. But he answered with a casual voice, “Hello?”
“Hi, Dean. Are you on the train to Tokyo yet?”
Dean snickered, “Yes, Mia. I’m on the train already. Good morning.”
“Oh yes, good morning.” Mia laughed. “Um. I called to say that I can meet you in Tokyo tomorrow evening if that suits you?”
Dean smiled to himself, “That suits me fine. Do you want me to meet you at the airport…”
“Oh no, no, no. I can make my way to your…hotel…” Mia started to blush.
“It’s no trouble at all. I only have a client lunch and then I think they are leaving me alone for the evening. I can meet you for sure.”
