Miserable
Giorgio wakes up with a groan when his alarm rings, and he quickly snoozes it and tries to sleep in again, only to have his room door getting knocked repeatedly and he shouts in annoyance, “who is it?”
“It’s me Mariella.”
“It’s Saturday morning.”
“Exactly! It’s been a while since we have some siblings bonding! Come to the living hall when you are ready!”
The blonde rolls his eyes and after washing his face and brushes his teeth, he enters the living hall and plops down next to Mariella at the couch, who is drinking milk and Jolyne is holding Larue the II while watching anime on Netflix, and Giorgio comments, “Demon Slayer?”
“Yeah.”
“I know the ending from the manga though.”
“Don’t spoil it!” Giorgio finally relaxes and laughs while Jolyne looks pissed, “I had enough of Tao spoiling me on multiple animes, and I don’t want you to spoil this for me.”
Mariella shakes her head and asks, “what’s so great about this anime though?” and Jolyne pouts, “it’s about how the hero becomes a demon slayer just to save his sister.”
“I still don’t get why the rest of you prefer anime with violence and fights.”
They continue to watch in silence together until Jolyne decides to be a bitch and asks Giorgio, “by the way, Giorgio, why are you back with otou-chan last night? I thought you would be busy with your boyfriend the whole night.”
Mariella giggles when she hears the blonde groans and facepalms, “don’t talk about last night. Everything was great until I realized I can’t bear to break the curfew and risk being grounded.”
“Typical of dad. So Asian.”
“I thought of moving out though, but the rent is expensive if I’m living alone.”
“You can ask Leonardo to move in with you. You can get part time jobs since you don’t have assignments to bring home.”
“Hey! I have to practice my vocals during my free time! Unless I get offered to sing in bars that offer live band entertainment, then I’m moving.”
“Mariella, I want you to move out so I can hog the whole bedroom.”
“That’s it! I’m not moving just so I can annoy you, Jolyne.”
“Wha-?!”
And the three of them look at the door when it opens after the unlocked sound chimes, revealing Tao who looks like a wreck with dark eyebags and he waves at them sleepily, “yo, morning. Anyone want to grab some breakfast at the usual?”
“Nope. I’m binge watching Demon Slayer.”
“Do you know that Nezuko-”
“STOP! DON’T SPOIL IT!”
“You don’t look so hot. Lots of assignments in medicine?”
“I have been working on patient mentality that had to undergo physical therapy, so it’s kinda a mess since it’s not my specialty. By the way, I heard of some interesting news by Jolyne about you last night, Giorgio.”
Giorgio facepalms and Jolyne laughs, “he dressed up like a slut, but he still didn’t get the d-”
“Don’t finish that sentence please, I still want my appetite,” Mariella complains and she turns to look at Tao and asks, “so, still going to that cafe? I need some coffee.”
“Yeah. I need the coffee too.”
“All of you, please go, I want to watch my anime in peace without possible spoilers.”
“Do you know that the pillars-”
“NO!!!! GET OUT!”
Tao, Mariella, and Giorgio are pushed out from the apartment by Jolyne, and the door closes in their face.

Despite Rizzo’s reluctance in making one of his date nights with Alfonso to become a triple date with the other brats, especially Giorgio, he is secretly glad that Martin and Leonardo are getting obviously happier than usual after they got into dating. So when he agrees, both Martin and Leonardo cheer and his boyfriend smiles, and he tries to ignore Ricci who is whining about being single.
“Finally! Let’s make this a game night!”
“Har? Obviously it’s better if it’s movie night! Then everyone can watch together.”
“No way Martin, you always choose those stupid romance movie that makes most of us fall asleep!”
“And not everyone plays games you idiot!”
“The both of you shut up before I break your knees!”
After a long discussion in the group chat later, they finally agreed to have a night out, going to a pub beside a beach since no one protested that idea.
Leonardo finishes his dance class and he exits the auditorium, and he sees Mariella already waiting for him while taking selfies to post on her insta in the meantime, and he slowly creeps towards her and he taps on her shoulder, “boo!”
Mariella shouts so loud that the other students stare at them, and Leonardo is laughing so hard he is clutching on his stomach, and the pinkette slaps his arm, “don’t scare me like that! I almost kicked you!”
“Sorry sorry, but you were so focused on your phone you didn’t even notice me. I’m hurt,” and he grins when Mariella gives him a quick peck on the cheek, “come on, let’s go to Alfonso’s office quick before Rizzo shouting at us for being late.”
“I thought you don’t care about Rizzo’s opinions?”
“Yes, but I would rather not get at his bad side just in case.”
They walk together towards the medical faculty, and when they see Martin in the lobby, Leonardo calls out, “oi Martin!”
“Yo Leonardo,” Martin waves after turning to look at them, and Mariella asks with a teasing tone, “where’s your blonde angel?”
“He hasn’t finished his class yet.”
“I guess we are waiting for him then.”
After a few minutes, the trio see Ricci entering the building and he storms towards them, “why are you guys still here? I thought Alfonso expected us in his office.”
“Dude, I’m waiting for my boyfriend.”
Ricci rolls his eyes and Leonardo grins, “someone’s jealous that he is single!”
“Did not!”
“Fear not Ricci, I have a sure win plan for you to pick up chicks.”
“Not going to listen, since you don’t pick up chicks, you picked up a dude.”
“Hey! Gio is the love of my life!”
“Did I just hear my name?”
Martin turns to see his boyfriend already standing behind him, and he grins widely from seeing him, “Babe! You are finally here.”
“Sorry for the delay, I was asking my professor about my assignment grade.”
“We should probably go before Rizzo explodes,” and they start walking together towards the teaching staff office. The moment they push open the glass door, they hear someone clicking their tongue and Ricci just sighs when he sees it’s Rizzo crossing his arms while staring at them, “you guys are late.”
“We are not late, you are just early.”
“De Rose, I swear if-”
“I’m done with work, let’s go,” the rest sighs in relief when their savior is here, and Alfonso smiles a little before giving his boyfriend a kiss, “sorry Tiziano, did I make you wait?”
“No.”
When they finally reach their destination after Ricci drives them instead of Alfonso, they enter the bar where there’s some jazz music playing in the background and they take a seat in a corner with a large table after placing a quick order with the bartender, “I hope you all will not drink too much tonight.”
“No problem!”
“By the way, I’m starving. Let’s order some snacks,” Leonardo waves at one of the wait staff and gets the food menu, then he starts ordering while Mariella is suggesting to him a few things.
Unluckily for Ricci who is the only single one right now, the other three couples are busy flirting and touching each other, giggling in their own world, while he has to sip on his cocktail alone without anyone to talk to, and he sighs.
“Why did I agree to this again?”
