Chapter Twenty One

The necklace the king had gotten Cheryl was very simple, really. A silver, oval shaped necklace with a bird graved on it. It was a pretty ugly thing, and she would have never worn it otherwise, but considering it was the only gift she had gotten, it was important, and she needed to get it back.

"It's after curfew"Oliver said on full parent mode when Cheryl told him she needed to go outside without offering much of an explanation. What was she supposed to say?' I spend a majority of the dinner laying on top of the oldest daughter of the DeMarcos who thought I was trying to seduce her and in her frustrated state she did not notice the little bitch stealing her necklace?' Yeah, that would not do her any favors.
