A...WHAT?!

Cynthia swiftly left the building and entered her car breathing heavily. She had been insulted by that woman she didn't even know.

How dare she say I'm not worthy? Just who was he that I'm not good enough? What have I gotten myself into? Just who are they?

At the backyard of the Winters Mansion in the estate, some maids were currently raking away the withered lives from under the trees,

"Clean, clean, clean. All we have to do is to clean all the time during our shifts. Can't we just be like normal hired maids?"

"You can decide to resign if you want to. Besides, there are some dirt and dust that are invisible to the eye so you have to keep cleaning."

"I didn't say I want to resign. By the way, stop acting lie you're not also tired."

The other party didn't reply but another one chimed in,

"Don't worry, she won't admit she's tired. After all, the reason she's here exceeds work,"

"Wait," the other girl hushed her, "Master Mark is here, Master Mark is here," she squealed excitedly.

"Who's he? Why is he here? No one comes to the Winters Mansion anyhow," she said quietly in an unfriendly tone.

"Keep quiet. What do you know? You're still new. This man is the only companion to the Young Sir, his childhood buddie," an older woman said, "It is said that birds of the same feathers flock together. It's the case here. He's also very handsome, I wish I could get him for my daughter," she continued with an infatuated look on her face.

"Oh grandma, you're already so old and you're still dragging a young man with us. How shameless!"

"Shut up," the lady's face turned black at being called old, "How dare you say I'm old. I'm only 42."

Mark entered the mansion in a carefree manner when he bumped into Rani, "Hey Madame, good to see you. You still look as charming as ever," he smiled and brought up her hand to his lips.

"Get lost," she said with an ashen face as she slapped away his hand, "You still haven't changed. Don't dare corrupt my son."

"Hey, where are you going? We haven't even talked?" he shouted as he looked at her departing figure. He looked around and sighed. His voice was the only one he heard in the house and the worse part of it was that it was echoing!

"Well," he approached a young maid with an enchanting smile on his lips, "Beautiful, may I ask where your Young Sir is?"

"Uh....he's in the study room," she replied with a blushing face while he happily walked away.

Hehe! My flirting skills had not decreased a bit!

"Hello~~~Ghost man Siddy?" Mark greeted as soon as he entered the study room.

"What are you doing here?" Siddharth asked while typing.

"Hey, is that how to welcome a friend? Always working, always on the computer all day. I hope I don't look like a robot to you?" he complained as he sat on a sofa at the end of the room and placing both legs on the table in front of him.

"You should be thankful am replying to your nonsense," Siddharth replied and brought out a book from a shelve under the table. He began flipping through the pages of the book as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.

"What are you looking at? Oh, I don't need to ask. A project of course," Mark laughed dryly.

"It's not,"

"Huh?" Mark jumped up with the speed of light. Was his Siddy trying to finally share a gist with him? "Come, come, come. Tell this little friend what that is?" he asked with perked up ears.

"Stop acting overdramatic. Your ears are like that of the Fae species,"

"I just asked a question. No need to badmouth me," Mark sighed with a damp spirit.

"OK, it's a girl's book."

"Huh? A...What?!"
