KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Hello, anybody in?"

"Uh..yes come in Camille."

The three of them sat in an uncomfortable silence,

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing," Emily forced a smile.

"Are you guys unhappy with me?" Camille continued.

***

The three of them walked to class without saying anything. Camille wasn't ready to explain the reason of her meeting with Cynthia. If Meethi got provoked one day by Cynthia, she wasn't sure her plan will remain a secret.

"I'll seat by the end today," Meethi notified.

"You.., are.." Camille felt displeased.

Emily quickly gave her a sign to give Meethi some time to herself so they could only leave her for the time being.

Meethi I'm sorry, I don't mean to take charge of your life and matters or betray you but this also concerns me and this is the only way to help.

"Heh, the three friends aren't seating together today. Interesting."

7:00pm SCHOOL GARDEN

"Thank you for keeping the appointment," Cynthia said.

"No I should be the one thanking you. So...you don't need to tell me the details of your version. I get you."

"Really?"

"Of course, people in this world are unreliable. I wasn't there after all and she was the supposed victim so of course, she'll turn the story around in her favour. But we can't be sure of the real truth either," Camille replied.

"You're totally right. I need you to do something for me. This matter is really urgent."

Although Cynthia didn't fully trust Camille, she needed someone to carry out this plan for her at the earliest possible time,

"I had already found a clue to the parents of the boy. Camille, justice must be served even to the deceased. I hope you understand that."

Camille raised her brows when she saw Cynthia quickly keeping her phone back in her purse. Recording?

"Totally, I completely understand. Justice...must indeed be served," she smirked.

ASHLEY'S DUPLEX

"Mom, mom. Where's mom?" Goodness happily skipped into the house.

"Must you disturb everyone?" Abraham frowned.

"Just shut up your stinking mouth. I wasn't talking to you," Goodness countered.

"I don't have any stinking mouth. You're the one with a smelling mouth," Abraham shouted.

"How dare you say that I have a smelling mouth," Goodness ran towards him in anger and started beating him up,

"We'll.. We'll see who has the smelling mouth. Rubbish!" She said as she pounced on him about to stuff paper in his mouth.

"Mom....ah....Mommy...aaaah..somebody help me...," Abraham wailed struggling to break free from her tight grip.

"What's going on?" Cordilia walked into the living room, "Goodness, let go of him. NOW!"

"Mom, he insulted me," Goodness complained.

"So is that why you hit him? I don't want to see the both of you fighting again else I'll confiscate your phones and ground you. Hear that?"

"Mom that's not fair,"

"It's absolutely fair. Goodness, I heard you called for me when you entered the house. What is it?" Cordilia sighed.

She's been stressed lately. As a business lady running a food business, she never got to rest. Orders are constantly streaming in from her online platform that she had to employ two more cooks to assist her. She didn't know how her daughter on campus had been for close to a month now without visiting,

"Mom, my term's report is out," Goodness' angry expression turned into a joyous one,

"I got third this term with an average of 93.9%."

"Wow!" Cordilia felt her head cleared, "Really?"

From fifth to third. That was a great improvement.

"I'm so proud of you," Cordilia smiled happily and hugged Goodness.

"Yeah but some people got 73.4% but still have the mouth to insult others,"

"What're you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Abraham. He went backward from 16th to 18th this term but the highest in his class was 92.3%. Can you see that? He's not serious at all. All he does is to play all day not even caring about his studies."
