Different From Others

Next Day...

It's lunch time, both Katrina and Davina are currently sitting parallel to each other with their lunch in front of them. Katrina ordered a salad and a fruit shake while Dahyun ordered meat and cola. There appetite are far different from each other.

"I just noticed, you don't eat meat at all. Why?"

Davina curious about Katrina's appetite.

"I'm vegan, my family is actually."

Katrina responded before eating a piece of lettuce.

"Ohhh, do you have thoughts about tasting meat sometimes?"

Davina asked before shoving a big piece of meat into her mouth.

"I don't, I love eating veggies. It makes me feel relieve."

Katrina answered.

"How about you? Do you eat veggies?"

Katrina asked Davina who answered honestly.

"I've tried eating once but it's not my liking at all. My sense of taste rejects the idea of having vegetables as my meal."

"I prefer the juiciness and tenderness of any meat specially the harder ones."

Katrina continued Davina was looking at her weirdly before she proceeds on munching on her salad. The cafeteria has noises with different reasons from all the students having their meals there. Academic noises, gossips, story telling and more. One noise caught everyone's attention including Katrina and Davina when suddenly a guy shouted at a woman.

"You have eyes so you can see, use them!!"

The guy pushed the woman making her fall on the ground. The guy was mad after the woman accidentally bumped into him. Davina didn't like how the guy acted, she hates guys who poorly treat women. She's even more pissed because the girl that the guy pushed got shoved to her while she was eating her slice.

"Apologize!"

Davina glared at the guy but he didn't even flinched, instead he gave her a look she doesn't want to receive at all. Davina was trying so hard controlling herself as thoughts about killing the guy shuffled in her head. She didn't want to blow her cover so instead, she took a spoon and tried throwing it to him. The guy got hit on his back, luckily Davina only used a bit of her strength for it to hit him. Katrina saw it all and for a brief second she thought about what Davina really is.

"Who threw that?"

The guy shouted.

"I did."

Davina said.

"You're really testing my patience midget."

The guy shouted, mad at what Davina did. Despite the guy's rage, she didn't even flinched. She looked like she was a delinquent from her previous school as her face showed no emotions and seems like she's used to this kind of things.

"Do you really have to go that low to insult me?"

Davina smirked, the people around was impressed by her response embarrassing the guy who insulted her height. Despite the guy's effort to get into Davina's nerves, he keeps failing the guy had its limit and was about to punch Davina when the security arrived.

"Hey!!"

The security interrupted. Davina smirked at the guy who's caught in the act of punching her. Davina already sensed that the security are only few meters away from them that's why she just let him loose his cool.

"L-le-t m-me e-expl-"

The security didn't let him explain and immediately taken to the dean's office. In the midst of these, Katrina had her eyes locked on Davina's behavior. She's doubting that Davina is a human because of what she did to the spoon and how she's reacting to the threats from the guy who is taller and probably stronger than her in human logic.

"She's brave."

"Unfazed"

"Pale skin."

"You're different."

Katrina thought. She was completely drowned by her thoughts not realizing Dahyun is back seating in front of her.

"Katrina!."

Dahyun called but seems like the girl didn't hear her. She tried calling her again and this time she wave her hands in front of her eyes.

"Oh, sorry."

Katrina snapped back to reality and smiled.

"What's wrong? You seemed deep in your thoughts."

Davina asked.

"I was just recalling if we have any home works due later."

Katrina reasoned out. She's lucky that Davina bought it, vampires can't read minds that's for sure. After awhile, the students stood up and left the cafeteria for their next class.

At the sports grounds....

Laura was sitting alone in a bench near the basketball court of their university. There were varsity players having a practice match for their training. She's currently concentrating as she's writing an essay for her output.

"Watch Out!!"

I guy shouted from afar but Laura didn't hear it. Lucky for her, there's a person who walked past it front of her. Instead of her, he took the blow of the ball that was going towards their direction.

"Ouch, that was a strong one."

He fell down scratching the area where the ball hit. Laura left surprised after she heard someone shriek. She looked around to see who it was, she leaned in to check in front of her and saw Timothy scratching his head with the ball in his hand.

"You okay there?"

Laura asked blinking her eyes.

"Yep, I'm fine."

The guy responded still has his head down from the pain. Laura nodded.

"He already said he's fine, so I'll go back to my essay."

She thought and went back on doing her essay. He stood up and returned the ball to the varsity players as they went to get it and after they apologized to him. He turned around and saw the girl who he thought asked him if he was fine.

"Ughh, aren't you from class A?"

Timothy asked. The woman girl looked up and saw him, he raised her eyebrows and looks at him weirdly.

"Y-yes, how did you know?"

Laura confronted, she can't remember him being one of her classmates. Timothy giggled, he didn't think she would ask that question.

"Because I'm in class A too. I guess you aren't good at remembering faces."

He smiled and sat down in front of her. She reverted her focus back to her work and started working on it again.

"You're a silent type of a person."

Timothy asked. The latter just hissed not wanting to get bothered even more. He understood what she meant and kept himself silent. He watched him working on her essay without uttering any sound.

Few Minutes Later...

Laura finally finished her essay after thirty minutes of brain squeezing , she was too focused on her work that she didn't notice that the guy in front of her already left. She then saw a note on the table and immediately thought it came from the guy earlier. She took the note to check what's inside but before reading it she first scouted the area to double-check if he really left the place already. It says

"See you at class later."

Laura crumpled the paper and threw it on the trash as she walks her way to her next class. Arriving in class, she scanned the room to check if the guy she met earlier was really her classmate. After scanning the room, she didn't find the "supposed classmate" that disturbed her earlier.

"Weirdo."

Laura thought. She then went to her seat and fixed her things preparing for their professor to arrive.

"We're you looking for me?"

A familiar voice came from her back, tapping her shoulder lightly.

Somewhere in the main building....

Brian was alone this break because Joy has activities to work on with her group members. He's group already finished the activity leaving him nothing to work on at the moment. To lessen his boredom, he went to the university's small park near the center of the university. It was his first time coming here despite spending already a year last year. His only routine when his twin is with him is class, lunch then home, library is optional for study purposes.

"This place is not bad after all."

He thought. He looked around to see if there are vacant benches to sit on, while waiting for her sister to finish. Unfortunately, there weren't any vacant benches available. He wanted to sit on the grass covered because it's normal for his kind but it would grab the attention of passersby which he does not like.

An hour passed in the park just looking and roaming around it, he finally decides to left.

"Should I go to the library? Nathan said it's a good place to sleep."

He asked himself while walking towards the library.

Meanwhile in the library, Sharron was in one of the isles of each bookshelves. Yes she uses spells to finish her works at home but she loves reading books. So when it's her free time, other than meeting with her friends, she spends her time in the library reading every books she finds interesting.

She sat on the floor with her back on one of the bookshelves to support it. Whenever she reads something, she becomes too immersed to the book that it hinders her awareness of her surroundings. Making it hard for her to check on the time for her next class. As a solution, she set's a timer before she starts reading to stop her from reading.

Ten minutes into reading, creaking sounds from the wood used in the bookshelves started resonating. Sharron without any clue is fully immersed on the book that she's reading. The cracks slowly becomes larger and larger to the point where it breaks. Late enough to react, Sharron used her hands as a reflex to the many books that was falling from above her.

"Ahh!!"

She shrieked closing her eyes in the process. She slowly opened her eyes, confused of why she only got hit by one book. She looked above and saw man hovering over her. She's shocked at the guy's sudden appearance from nowhere as she knew that she was only the single person in the isle.

"Miss, are you okay?"

The guy asked with his eyes closed. Sharron wasn't able answer, still in shocked by what just happened.

"Miss, can you crawl away to safety, the books above me might hit you."

The guy instructed, Sharron snapped back to her sense and crawled back to safety. As she stood up, she saw the number of books that are still on top of the guy as well as those who landed on the floor. The guy leaned a bit and the books started falling from his back. Right as he stood up, he opened his eyes to properly check on the girl he saved. As the guy opened his eyes, Mina saw its color slowly changing from a golden-yellow color to a brown one making her eyes widen.

"You okay miss?"

The guy asked once again. Sharron stepped back from him, she knew what kind has that eye color. She thinks she's braver, she's stronger than him because her ancestors created their kind. Witches still has a human side, they get scared of things that are scary for humans also. Werewolves are peaceful in their human form, which she is why there's no reason being afraid of but it's her first time seeing one up close resulting to her submitting to her human side.

"I-I'm fine."

She stuttered.

"Good thing, it would've bad if you got hit by those books there."

The guy said. Sharron just nodded still nervous.

"My name's Brian , and you are?"

Brian reached out his hand for a handshake. She looked at his hands and instead of shaking it she ran away leaving a confused Brian behind.

"Why'd she run?"

He thought.

Sharron ran away from the library as far as she could, she then stopped after reaching the park. She panted heavily catching her breath after a long run from that person.

"This is far enough right?"

She asked herself, she looked around to see if the guy followed her. She sighed in relief knowing he was not following her.

"I gotta tell this to the girls."

Sharron reached her hand in her right pocket trying to find her phone, she tried reaching on her left pocket and wasn't there. Her eyes widen after realizing that she lost her phone. The only thing she could think of is that she left it on her side after setting a timer.

"Ughh, stupid Sharron ."

She lightly hits her head blaming herself for leaving her phone. She has no other choice but to run back to the library to get it.

After the Sharron left, Brian was left frozen staring at his hand who got cold treated by a gorgeous woman.

"I guess she doesn't like handshakes."

Brian told himself, retracting his hands to his side. He looked at the messy floor filled with books of all kinds. He sighed before he starts working on tidying up the place and reporting what happened to the librarian.

After half an hour, the books are now stack properly opposite to the broken bookshelves with also the debris cleanly placed just below the broken bookshelves. He then saw a phone ringing, the volume was not loud.

"Maybe it belongs to her?"

He said to Sharron before turning the timer off. Just as he started walking, Sharron's arrived panting hard.

"T-that-s, m-mi-i-ne."

She said catching her breath. Brian knew it's hers but he wants her to thank him first because he save her so he purposely played with her.

"Yours? How do I know your saying the truth?"

Brian raised his eyebrows, controlling himself from laughing.

"I left it on the floor when I was reading earlier."

She said, her breathing has calmed down. She went near him to get her belonging.

"Prove it."

Brian said as he showed him her phone.

"Here."

Mina ran a biometric scan on her phone which it unlocked.

"Oh you're really the owner. But you're really dumb don't you think?"

Brian chuckled as he typed something on the phone. Sharron realized that she was dumb to fall for that simple trick.

"Give that back to me!!"

She yelled. Her voice muffled because her normal voice is like a whisper.

"I won't, until you say thank you. I saved you earlier."

Brian said dialing someone from her phone, his phone rang and immediately turned rejected it. Sharron glared at him knowing what he did.

"What's your name by the way?"

Brian asked after successfully getting her number.

"Sharron"

The pissed girl said making him chuckle.

"Okay, Sharron. Just say thank you and I'll give you back your phone."

Brian smiled.

"Thank you."

Brian smiled then returned her phone right after.

"You even left me clean up the mess. Now go with me and let's report the incident to the librarian so we won't get the fault."

Brian said before leaving. Sharron has no choice but to go despite being annoyed with him.
