Enjoying the show he directed, he suddenly felt someone watching him from a distance. His smile faded as he turns towards the direction of the heart beat the he sensed. He saw the woman who helped him earlier, she was standing on the end of the hallway surprised.
“A vampire.”
Savannah whispered, watching a vampire enjoying the show he made. The hair strands on her arms stood up after the vampire slowly turned its head towards her direction.
“Oh gosh.”
She said, her throat felt dry, frightened of how the vampire looked. Her mind and her body were in sync of running away from the place but she was too late. Theo grabbed her wrist, keeping her from running away.
“Elemental Push!!”
Savannah positioned her palm in front of Theo, able to break herself free from his grasp. She ran as fast as she could, hoping she could out run s vampire. Too bad, teleportation does not exists despite how wide the witches’ array of spell are.
Theo on the other landed back on his feet after a strong wind pushed him away from her, but it wasn’t enough to keep him off his feet. The spell did it’s purpose but it’s too weak to knock out a vampire.
“Ahh!”
Sav shrieked, falling down on the floor. She didn’t expect the person who was waiting for her as she turned around a corner.
“Leave me alone!”
Fear on her voice can be noticed. She can’t help but feel weak in front of an abomination created by her own kind. She heard nothing from the guy but footsteps slowly closing in to her. With her eyes closed, she extends her arm in front of her confusing the person in front of her.
”What is she doing?”
Theo raised his eyebrows, questioning the woman’s act. It was the first time he got curious of someone. He sees the wind engulfing the woman’s hands and soon realizes she’s casting a spell. He held both of her wrists with his hands hoping it would keep her from continuing. To his surprise, it worked, the wind that was coating her hands slowly disappeared.
The woman gasped after she felt the vampire’s hands held her wrist, her hopes of escaping from him slowly fades away. She wanted to escaped from his hands but she’s too weak compared to his physical strength.
“Please, let me go!”
She begged, thinking it would spare her life.
“I won’t hurt you.”
She heard the guy in front of him said. Her eyes widened in surprise, not believing what she just heard.
”Yes, I am a vampire. But I’m not like my own kind.”
The guy said, his calm voice is helping him gain Savannah’s trust.
Theo helped her up and released his strong grasped on her wrist. Releasing the pressure that was built up by his strength.
“I’m sorry if I scared you.”
”I meant no harm.”
He felt apologetic after everything he did.
”His voice is so.... calm.”
Savannah said listening to his voice. She scanned himself and was surprised by his exceptional features. Unlike what the journal had described how vampires looked, he is the most handsome being he had ever seen with her 22 years of existence. She was deeply lost with her admiration not realizing he’s too close to him.
“Uhh miss?”
The clearing of his throat brought Savannah back to realization. She noticed how close distance from each of their faces and took a step back, embarrassed by her own actions. Sensing her face burning, she looked away hiding the blush that is slowly showing up on her cheeks.
“Are you okay?”
Theodore’s calm voice drove her to close her eyes, concealing the outburst of emotion that she’s having.
“I’m fine, just one sec.”
She assured him, buying time for her to relax. A minute passed, she became calm and the blush cheeks finally subsided.
“Hi, I’m Savannah.”
Her introduction was unexpected, Theo expected a mad or scared person in front of him it was the opposite. His apology was responded by an introduction with a cute smile.
“Theodore.”
He took her hands that was waiting to be shook. It was a weird encounter from two different kind or race. The hand shake stopped and an awkward silence replaced it. They both had a staring contest, waiting for the first person to engage for an another conversation.
“You’re not scared?”
His calm and cold voice matched with his emotionless face can send shivers to someone’s spine. But not Savannah, after observing he’s different from what the journal educated them she became curious about him.
”I was but not anymore.”
Her smile was charming enough that would drive you think that you got charmed by a faerie.
“I thought vampires, kill all their prey?”
”But from what I saw earlier, you were just playing with them.”
”Why is that?”
She made an odd look, her eyes were wide while putting her finger beside her temples. It almost seems like she was flirting with him, surprising Theo with it.
“What is that look?”
His mind starts repeating her expression like an animation on a loop. It’s like he was hit by a spell, forcing him to think about it all day. He clears her throat clearing his mind from it.
”I know their no match for me.”
”I also hate killing so I decided to make a play for them.”
Savannah was utterly surprised by how different his mindset. Being stuck with a journal to read as her childhood hobby, she recalls everything about this creature.
Their little conversation was interrupted by Savannah phone ringing. Theo rarely laughs but her ringtone made him to. It was a cute and funny recorded catch phrase, enough to make him laugh even just a second.
”Hello?”
Savannah answered her phone. Her face was quite annoyed by the sudden interruption. Her ted talk with the person in the phone lasted for quite awhile. Unfortunately, Sav turned her back away from Theo which is why she didn’t notice that he left already. After ending the call, she was sad to see no one waiting to finish her call. She pouted and was about to went on her way when she saw a note to a wall.
“See you around!
-Theo”
