Willis checked the second row of power cells. Everything so far ran on without incident. He figured there must not have been much warning. Considering the severe lack of panicked damage. Everything was in its place. He let his hand rest against the plastic covering, enjoying the vibrations.

Tucker sighed from behind him, “Have you been ignoring me?”

He had tried to listen, “you were talking about Landon and Devin, the brothers.” They were discussing the others. Curiosity would practically explain Tucker's existence.

“Something is seriously wrong there, with them and Connie.”

“Careful what you say.”

“Are you afraid of her too?”

“No. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone. Can’t really blame us or it. She shows up with a gun, but did you need to grab Landon. What were you going to do? Defend the entire place with your knife?”
