Chapter 27: Yuma Starlight Facility

“Do I have to?” Willis whispered.

“It’s time. I even have Dallas here to help you find somewhere more comfortable,” Tucker turned to Dallas motioning him forward. He came to sit beside them.

Willis watched him move, “you don’t have to.”

“I know,” Dallas said, “but I’m going anyway if that’s alright with you.”

They stared at each other for a long time before Willis reached for Dallas. Together they got to their feet. Tucker followed them as they made their way to the control room. Landon sat up at the table waiting. Devin and Clint were passed out in the corner on a blanket they had picked up at a store.

“Are you okay?” Landon asked.

“I’m fine,” Willis slumped into the chair beside him.

Dallas rested a hand on his shoulder, “you should get some sleep Willis. Well, all of you should really.”

“That’s what I told those two,” Landon laughed looking over to the sleeping duo, “Devin’s a nightmare when he doesn’t sleep enough.”
