Shivani was fast asleep. She had a dream, that she had finally found love, that the love of her life had gently lifted her and carried her over to a bed of clouds. He had bent over her, watching as she slept peacefully and stroked her forehead. Then he gently tucked her under the sheets and stood watching while she slept under his protective gaze. She had felt a wonderful sense of calm and peace, unlike anything she had ever experienced before. She had come home finally. She was where she belonged.
The voice came from far away, calling her name softly. Shivani was wrapped in a cocoon of contentment, when she heard her name being called once again. This time the voice was closer. It did not sound like it was coming from a tunnel. She drew in a deep breath as she began to slowly open her eyes.
