Chapter LXXV - Cicatrix**

I heard a whisper, it was her voice, Sarah —I forgive you, please don't do it.

What, I've been going crazy seeing and hearing dead people.

—Please, I forgive you," Sarah continued, "I feel a relief in my heart.

I felt a relief in my heart, those words repaired me with the rhythm of the instant; suddenly, her blurred look vanished, at the sound of the door opening, it was my mother coming in.

—What in God's name are you doing?! —We stared at each other for seconds and she ran to stop me.

—Mom... —I said between sobs.

—Don't do it to me again, please," she took the glass from me, "I don't know what would become of me, it's all my fault I shouldn't have walked away, I should have kept my eyes open that day, I should have held on to the ones I had left.

We held each other until there were no more tears left.
