T H I R T Y - S I X T H: RADE GONZALVO

Decisions. If there’s something I’m bad at, those are making decisions. The right ones.

Once we make a decision, we anonymously don’t know if it’ll end up for the good, or bad. Some even end up worse.

As the eldest son, I stood to be the father figure of my younger siblings. Since my father hasn’t been home ever since I was still the only child. My two younger siblings never really got a chance to see him.

Due to he’s never really home, I’m starting to think he abandoned us and started a new family to wherever place he was in.

I needed him. I needed a father to grow up to. I never get to what it was like to play Baseball with a father, or even get taught to ride a bike.

I’d be lying if I didn’t envy the other kids. I want to know what it feels to have a father during school events. “Yeah, my Dad’s coming home in a few days to celebrate Christmas with us. What about you, Rade?” I still remember my middle school classmate ask me that question.
