Recently my eyesight has become a little unclear. It wouldn't happen if I didn't linger to my PC screens for more than 8 hours every day. Though I didn't have any other option, I was a freelancer. I learned programming when I was seventeen. I was fascinated by how it worked. It's quite clear how I found my interest in Computer Science Engineering. It wasn't that I always wanted to apply in South Korea. It was just when I became a fan girl of South Korean boy band Big Bang after hearing their EP 'Alive'. I was crazy about G-dragon. Ever since then I became a fan of K-Pop and K-Drama. That's how I became an expert in talking and listening Korean. Then I wished to learn it properly, so I took classes. But after Nabil's death my enthusiasm vanished. I wasn't that interested in anything. Then things started to change and I came up with the idea of eloping. So I used my knowledge and got the chance.
'Incoming call from Sharika.'
The thought of Sharika brought an instant smile on my face. She knew how to make me smile.
"Hey, bestie."
"My Goodness, Fahami, you look sexy as hell in glasses." She sounded like she was astonished.
Did I send her any image of me wearing my new glasses? Well, maybe I did.
"Seems like you are whipped," I chuckled.
"Of course, I am. Look at you, this rimless makes you look like a naughty sensei who can fuck wild any of her students." Her statement made me laugh until it was getting painful.
"Are you trying to butter me? Cause if you are then I must say it's in vain. You know I am not that naughty." I was still laughing lightly.
"But you are naughty enough to fuck your crush on first date." She giggled and I could imagine her wiggling her eyebrows. I cringed at the thought. I was really a damn stupid to do that. But I was drunk and I actually didn't remember how I did it. I just found myself in my birthday suit in the morning when I woke up next to my one-day crush who became my boyfriend later because of our one night stand.
"Hey, I was drunk, okay?" I protested.
"Oh trust me, if Roy would see this photo, he will be dying to fuck you harder."
"Firstly, don't talk about Roy otherwise I will hang up. Now, which photo are you talking about?" I was absolutely clueless.
"That one, in which you wore all black like a spy, had a messy bun and that nude shade lipstick with your sexy red rimless glasses." She was trying to describe in a low, sexy tone.
"Oh." Wasn't I supposed to send it to Eunjin? Yes, I was. Maybe I sent it to Sharika mistakenly.
"Speaking of your first date it came to my mind, what about your last date?" I heard amusement in her tone.
"What date are you talking about?" I was ignorant about her blabber.
"The mysterious boy that bumped to you in the stairs. Didn't you say that he is good-looking?"
So she was talking about him. "That doesn't mean I dated with him. And he is younger than I."
"Bullshit, don't you tell me that you don't date juniors." She laughed.
"I did. Now, I don't. He just reminds me of Nabil." My voice lowered as I mentioned Nabil.
"Oh." She became quiet. She knew how much I loved my younger brother. The thought of Taesung disturbed me a little.
"Sharika, I have to get ready for my class. I will call you later." I didn't know what else to say.
"Okay. Take care." She sounded sorry. It wasn't her fault that I had to mention Nabil.
I hanged up. Ever since that day Taesung had been totally ignoring me. I tried several times to return his chain, but he just ignored me. And I didn't know why the hell it bothered me? We met at his threshold where he closed his door on my face, in restaurant where he behaved formally with me. It has been a month since our last encounter. Now I felt like he hated me. All I just wanted to do was just helping him.
"Eunjin, you are on cloud nine."
Eunjin is more than enthusiastic because of her date. She called me now to give all the freaking details.
She exclaimed in enthusiasm, "Of course, I am. It's our first kiss. I can't describe you how I felt when Haewon hugged me securely. When our lips molded with ea...."
"Okay, okay. I understand. I don't need all the details." I cringed when she was describing the molding of lips.
She giggled. "Fahami, can you sent me a copy of your assignment? I couldn't study. You know, I am at cloud nine.?"
I sighed, "Yeah, yeah."
"Hey, where are you now, by the way?"
"I went to buy some coke. You know how much I love coke," I heard screaming, "Eunjin, I will call later. Okay?" I hanged up without giving her enough time to protest.
I speed walked to see the scenario. When I got closer, I understood someone was getting beaten. God, what's happening? Then I saw the whole picture clearly. It was Taesung. Oh, God!, why all these bad things happen to him? Two filthy looking men were holding his both arms to keep him steady and a tall, well-built, ugly looking man was beating him. Anger boiled in my veins. Taesung was trying to kick but all went in vain. Though, that bastard was punching Taesung badly, I understood one thing, he was not trained. He could beat Taesung because of his physical ability and the other two men. He wouldn't be able at stand against strategies. I was calculating if I could beat him up or should I call police. No, it would be too late if I called police. I needed to do something right now.
"Oyee!" I yelled to get their attention.
All of them looked at my direction and stopped hitting Taesung. He was frail to look at me.
'Oh, poor Taesung!'
"Don't you think it's unfair to beat one man? I mean, one against three, that isn't fair you know?" I asked coldly.
They looked at me from head to toe. Maybe they were trying to understand who I was.
"And what do you want? We should beat you too?" They started laughing like maniacs.
"Nope, I am the one who wants to beat the hell out of you." I smirked.
I kept walking to them as a lioness walks to her pray. They are blubbering something that I didn't bother to listen. I was thinking what should I start with? If I started with flying kick, would it be enough? Nope, I should start with double kick to unbalance him. And I did. I double kicked his face before he could blink and understand what was going on. He lost his balance and I immediately got the chance to throw a hook punch and break his rib. Before he could completely regain his balance I did the flying kick, and he fell on the ground. One of the two men who were holding Taesung just a moment ago dared to run at my direction with an intention to punch. I send the thrust kick that directly hit his abdomen. He fell on the ground too holding his abdomen. The last one which was still holding Taesung solidly, now looked frightened.
"Look, Mr." I exhaled deeply, "I may have been out of practice for such a long time but that doesn't mean I forgot karate." I threatened him in the scariest way. He was scared, indeed.
As soon as I said it, he ran for his life, dropping Taesung on the street. I was about to approach to him but that huge, ugly bastard groaned and said, "You are going to repent it. I will make sure of it."
"Ughh! You are still talking." I kicked him in the balls for the last time, and he fainted.
I walked to Taesung. He was trying to get up. I held his left hand to place his arm over my right shoulder and held his hand with my left hand. I snaked my right hand on his waist and pulled him up. It was going to be a long night to carry that grown man on my small frame.
