Taesung's POV:
Days flew in blinks. It had been 3 weeks, Noona and I were living together. Our routine was fitted well with each other. Her waking up in the morning, getting ready for University, eating lunch in the restaurant and coming back home with me and me waking up with her, cooking for her, getting ready for work and coming back home with her. Everything was going on perfectly. Today wasn't different. I woke up earlier than her to make breakfast.
"Taesung, do I look fat?"
I was serving dishes on the table when she asked me this question.
"What?" I raised one eyebrow. She looked perfect. What made her think she looked fat?
"No seriously, I look fat." She was facing mirror and looking intensely at her reflection.
"Noona. You look perfect. Trust me." I firmly told her.
She sighed, "I should start working out again."
Both of us took our seats. "You worked out?"
"Yeah, I used to do intense workout." She looked down at her plate, "After Nabil's death, this was my only escape. I tried to keep myself busy and heavy workout helped me a lot. The extreme soreness kept me distracted." She exhaled a breath she was holding. Her sudden change of breathing told me how much Nabil's thought bothered her.
"I have a hate-love relationship with working out." She laughed at her own joke.
I smiled at her. "Take a bite. You are getting late."
I made vegetable omelet, tofu with seasoned soy sauce, rice cooked with red and black beans for breakfast.
She took a bite of vegetable omelet and moaned, "Seriously boy, I should definitely start working out. The way your delicious food are turning me a food crazed, I will be fatso in few days."
Both of us laughed.
After having our breakfast, we took our empty dishes to wash. Both of us usually had fun while dishwashing. Sometimes I would splash dishwashing soap at her, sometimes she would. Small things like this made our time more enjoyable.
Today we had some leftovers. Both Noona and I didn't like wasting food. "Noona, I am going to feed this to the kittens."
She smiled at me, "Okay."
I took leftovers and went outside. Some kittens lived here. They were street kittens. These kittens knew me very well as I fed them all the time.
I called for them and they surrounded me.
After finishing their meal, they were rubbing themselves around my legs and calling me softly. I smiled seeing the scene.
I sighed in bliss. Life couldn't be better than this. Everything felt good. I didn't want any change. Living with Noona seemed a ridiculous idea to me in the beginning but now it felt right. She became my family. I still remembered what she told me one week ago. I was complaining about my life and living with her life refugee.
She scowled me and said, ' You are not a refugee. This is your home too. Home is not a place where you live. Home is that place where you live with someone you love and someone who loves you.'
That made me beyond happy. Firstly because she admitted she loved me. Secondly, I had a home now. Somewhere I could return to the end of the day and yell, ' I am home.'
I was out of my home for longer than I should've. Noona might be worried. I went inside and climbed up the stairs. My bad luck decided taunting me because I met with the owner of the building on the third floor.
He threw a disgusted look at me, "Taesung, I clearly remember I told you to leave my building. What are you doing here?"
I tried to keep clam because I didn't want trouble for Noona and I. "You should ask my Noona what I am doing here." I further climbed up on few steps.
"Noona? Who is your Noona?" I stopped when he asked me.
"Fahami-shi. She is my Noona." I didn't look back after that and went straight to the flat.
I knocked few times, but she didn't open the door. I knocked again, "Noona?"
I started worrying. She never did this. I had an extra key, so I used it and went inside of the flat.
I heard the steady stream as someone was taking shower. That someone was clearly Noona. I removed my shoes and locked the door. Then the groan of the water turned off.
As I approached near the kitchen, Noona opened the bathroom door and stepped out. I wished she didn't step out because what I saw next was embarrassing. Mostly for me since something inside my clothes changed. Why? Because a mere towel was wrapped around her soaking body and nothing else. Her creamy tanned skin was glistening with water drops. Her dump hair laying flat against her shoulder, and she looked like a water fairy who stepped out of the water just now. My jaw was hanging open and my eyes were trying to get out of their sockets. Noona looked shocked. Next she averted her gaze looking like a ripe tomato as she blushed.
I looked away and cleared my throat, "I didn't see anything."
Noona shyly responded, "Umm, okay. I am going to change." I heard her fast footsteps as she tried to run away.
I looked down and felt ashamed of myself. "Fuck! I need a cold shower now."
I collected my clothes and went to shower. The cold shower didn't help much because every time I closed my eyes, all I could see was her. That look on her face like a deer caught in headlights was playing repeatedly in my mind. I didn't know for how long I was taking shower. Damn! I was surely going to have a fever.
After showering and putting on my clothes, I stepped out of the bathroom. Noona was sitting on a chair near the dining table and fidgeting. Her alluring eyes looked tensed behind that rimless.
"Noona?"
She looked up.
"What's wrong?" I was worried.
"Umm, Taesung, can we talk about the embarrassing moment which happened almost an hour ago?" She looked cautious.
"Ahh! Okay." I was licking my bottom lip. I did it every time I was nervous. What was she going to talk about?
"Look, I didn't do it intentionally. I was cleaning the kitchen after you went down to feed the cats. And I don't know from which hell a cockroach appeared, I stepped on it. I felt so disgusted that I didn't wait for a second and run off to the bathroom. I hate cockroaches so I directly took a shower. You were being late, so I thought I could quickly shower and get dressed but you came before I could." Noona said rapidly.
"Noona, breath. Okay?" I teased her. She gave me a glaring look.
I chuckled and said, "Why are you explaining? It was just an incident."
She looked puzzled, "You didn't mind?"
I chuckled again, "Not at all." I didn't have enough time to mind. There was another serious matter to handle if I wanted to remain a good boy to her.
She exhaled a breath she held and placed a hand on her chest, "Thank God! I was really embarrassed."
I smiled, "Noona, you are getting late."
She raised her both brows, "Huhh?"
I nodded at the clock. She looked at the clock, "Oh God! I already missed my first class. Damn it!" She sprinted off to her room. I chuckled seeing her cuteness and started getting ready for work.
