Chapter 30: Adonis

Fahami's POV:

I blinked few times to adjust with the light as I opened my eyes. A bird was singing sweetly somewhere near my house as if it was wishing everyone good morning. I stretched my body to send away laziness but my sense frozen as I saw Taesung sleeping next to me.

' What are we doing here in same bed?'

I carefully sitted up, trying to not wake him up. He slept peacefully.

Then I could remember, he asked me to sleep next to him last night.

Flashback:

"Will you stay with me tonight? Please?"

"Are you not feeling well?" I frowned.

He let go of my wrist, "I was having a nightmare." He looked down, ashamed of his own demand.

Oh No! Did he had this kind of problem? Since when? Why didn't I know? I used to have nightmares. It was vivid and haunted me almost every night after my brother's death. I had to take therapy to stop them. They haunted me, now and then but not like before. So I knew how crucial it could be. I didn't want this boy to suffer too. If I didn't know better by now, I would not worry. But it was crystal clear to me that he had a rough childhood. Having nightmares was probably normal but I didn't want him to see and experience that same thing over and over again. I had to know, since when he was suffering.

I held his chin and made him look into my eyes. I smiled to assure him, "I will sleep next to you. Okay?"

He looked grateful and nodded. "Okay."

Present:

He had a fever last night. I touched his face to understand if he still had temperature. He had but not like yesterday. He was burning when I came back last night.

' Hmm! I should take him to a Dr.'

I gradually left the bed to not wake him up. He couldn't sleep last night peacefully. Who could when he was suffering through fever? He was coughing and sneezed few times. So I let him sleep and silently went to the bathroom.

After freshing up, I went to the kitchen.

' Ugh! What am I goona make for him?'

His taste buds were giving him a hard time. Still, he needed energy so even if I had wrestle with him, I would make sure he eats.

I took all of my hair in my hand and made a bun. It got extensive. I needed a cut but Taesung wasn't letting me. He said he loved my long hair.

I thought of making a light breakfast for him. So I made chocolate smoothie. And I secretly added flavorless protein powder which I bought two days ago as I was planning to start working out again. He needed lots of energy and protein powder would surely work like magic. I made sandwich for both of us though I wasn't sure if he was going to eat it. Taesung didn't like coffee that much. That's why I made lemon tea for both of us. The sour aroma of lemon refreshed my mood.

I went to Taesung's room to wake him up. When I stood next to his bed, I couldn't call his name. He slept like a baby, so peacefully, so innocently. There was a slight smile playing around his heart shaped lips. He never looked this much peaceful when he slept. His sweat was glistening as the sunlight fell on his beautiful face. I felt like I was hypnotized. The more I looked at him, the more hypnotized I was. He had the most perfect face. Perfecter than Nabil. His dark thick brows, dark illusive eyes, fine nose, heart shaped pink lips, big forehead, everything about him was so.... enchanting. If I considered him as a man, there wasn't any doubt I would fall for this beautiful Adonis.

Suddenly my phone vibrated on the table and my brain started working. So I didn't stood up like an idiot and shook Taesung's arm slightly and called, "Taesung, wake up. It's morning."

Taesung moaned like a kid and turned toward opposite side. I sat down next to him and shook him again, "Taesung. Wake up."

He didn't make a noise and opened one eye to look at me. I smiled at him, "Good morning, sleepyhead!"

He closed his eyes and smiled, "I was having a good dream." Then he sighed.

I patted his arm soothingly, "What were you dreaming about?"

He smiled again, "That I am walking with you on a beach. Your loose hair was flowing beautifully against your back."

I giggled, "You could directly tell me that you wanted to go to a beach."

He blinked few times and stretched his body. He looked at me, "You don't believe me? I swear, that's what I dreamt about."

I frowned, "Didn't you say you were having nightmares?"

His enthusiasm vanished and I felt like a stupid to ruin his good mood.

"I did."

"Is it a regular thing?"

He looked a bit sad, "Yes, it was. Until I met you. But it came back after our last fight. Now, it doesn't disturb me regularly."

I was blushing! That's why he wanted to sleep next to me. I could ward off his nightmares. If I was the cure, I would sleep next to him every night.

I changed the topic since I could sense his irritation. "How do you feel now? Is the fever making you suffer?"

He shrugged and said, "Just a little headache but I feel alright now."

"Fine then. Fresh up. I made breakfast for you." I said excitedly.

He wrinkled his nose.

"I added your favorite chocolate and honey." I said in a dramatic tone.

He flashed me a grin. "Okay. Coming right away captain." He saluted with his two finger and went to the bathroom.

I decorated the table and put some fresh flowers in the flowerpot to make him feel better. He came out of the bathroom and grinned as he noticed the items.

"Wow. Did you make these for me?"

I smiled in return, "Since you didn't want to eat anything, I thought it would be easy to drink. Take a sip."

He took his seat and sniffed the smoothie first. "Umm! It's mouth watering." He took his first sip and his eyes immediately shined.

He enjoyed rest of the breakfast. I felt happy to care about him. At least there was someone to take care of him when it was needed. Speaking of care reminded me about his scars. I didn't know how to start. I was hesitating to ask him but it was important. At any cost, I had to know, how he got those scars. "Taesung, I want to ask you something."

He looked interested, "Anything."

I took a deep breath, "How did you get the scars on your back?" And his smile vanished.

' Shit!'
