“About us. The Cannibals.” She smiled and opened her shoulder toward him. “You can call us Cannibals. It’s fine. We’re all used to it.”

Iggy shook his head and glanced at Derson, again. “No, I don’t like it.”

Derson leant back against the door and tucked his hands into his pockets. “You don’t want to call us by what we are because you might be like us, eh?” Iggy didn’t want to deny it, but he knew that it wasn’t the truth either. Truthfully, it bothered him because it was the same name used for those who were bitten and transformed into mindless monsters that he had learned about on the New Continent. These people were far different.

“Nonsense,” Hailey pushed forward. “I can already tell he isn’t a Cannibal. To prove it, I’ll tell you. Firstly, we sleep a lot less than the average infected person.”

Derson eyed Iggy. “An advantage, if you ask me.”
