Chapter 35

Angelina opened her eyes and shut it close at once. The room was too bright. She had to blink a few times to adjust her eyes to the brightness before she could open them completely.

Angelina looked around both surprised and relieved that she was alive.

Scanning her surroundings‚ she found herself in a large room. The room was silent apart from the beep-beep sound one often heard in the hospitals that indicated one was alive. White curtains hung on sides of the window leaving the sunlight to peek through.

How long had she been there?

She shut her eyes‚ trying to remember what had exactly happened. Then it all hit her with a bang. The memory of it all started to occupy her thoughts.

James!

But did she die? No…

She shook her head. It couldn’t be.

Who had brought her here?

Where was her mother‚ Josh‚ Mark‚ and Jeff?
