Chapter 6

Prince Conrad's POV

As I open the door of my room, I instantly smelled her scent. I found her sleeping soundly on the couch. Her straight, chocolate, brown hair compliments her white, smooth skin. She has a pointed nose, and a red, kissable lips. I also wonder why she has aqua blue eyes. As far as I know, only witches have those kinds of eyes, but then again, maybe humans have different shades of eye color. Those aqua blue eyes of her are fascinating. I love them.

The sunrise caught my attention. I walked to the window to fix the curtain to block the sunlight. "Your highness?" I looked at her. She's still lying on the couch while those beautiful eyes are still half-closed. "You're back?" She asked, sounding still sleepy. "How do you feel?" She asked again.

I lay on my bed. "Go back to sleep." I told her instead of answering her questions. She yawned and closed her eyes again. I watched her sleep until I drifted off to slumber.

After few hours, I was disturbed by a loud knock on the door. I looked on the couch to see Princess Liviana, but she's gone. I stand up to open the door, only to find Connor smiling at me. "Good afternoon, brother!" He shouted.

"Afternoon?" I asked. I checked my watch, it's already past noon. I sat on my bed and sighed. I missed morning training. Damn it.

"If you don't like her here brother, Colten and I are willing to take her in, we have a spacious bed. We will fit in." I instantly look at Conner who's sitting on the couch. He already knew that Princess Liviana's sleeping there.

"Wanna die, Connor?" I growl that made him laughed. "What do you want?!" I hissed.

"Oh! Nothing really important, I just want to inform you that Lili cooked our food for lunch, it's delicious!"

"What the hell?!" I shouted. "You disturbed my sleep because of that?! Get out!" He laughed hard at my sudden burst out. I don't get this brother of mine. He has this hobby to provoke me.

"You should've tasted it, Conrad!" I was surprised when Colten entered my room. "I ate a lot, I even burped in front of our majesties." He said while pouting, and that made Connor laughed more.

"I can say, she's wife material. You're one hell of a lucky bastard, you know that?" Connor teased me.

"We're lucky bastard too! Lili promised me she'll bake a cake for me! Yehey!" Colten announced while smiling widely. I cannot believe these two really like her. I remembered the time when they found out about my relationship with Thalia, they got angry and told me that Thalia will never be their sister. However, they treated Princess Liviana differently; they instantly like her even though she's human.

After few minutes, I pushed the two out of my room. I get ready to go to the packhouse. Once I get there, I was dumbfounded to see my mother and Princess Liviana talking to the pack members.

"Mother!" I yelled as I run towards them. I talk to her through the mind link. "What are you doing here? The Princess should not be here. She might find out about our kind."

"Don't worry, son. I told her this is our training ground. She should familiarize herself with the whole kingdom, including our people." She explained.

"What do you think of this place, Princess?" My mother diverted her attention to her.

"This training ground is way different from ours, but I like those houses. It looks neat and simple, your majesty." She told her. I looked at her but she avoided my gaze and bowed her head. "Your highness." She greeted me. My wolf did not like the way she avoided us that made him growl. I told him to calm down. My mother led her to the pack members who are gathering around them. She introduces the Princess to all of them.

"I did not get a chance to look at her during the wedding ceremony, but to see her up close, damn she's gorgeous!" I slowly turn my head to Leo who's gawking while watching the Princess. Hearing those compliments about her from another guy made my wolf growl more inside me.

"If she's my mate, I won't mind if she's human. She's the most beautiful next to our Queen, of course." Odin said.

"Thalia lost the battle." Leo said, and they both laughed.

"What did you say?" Thalia suddenly appeared behind us, and she's frowning.

"You heard me." Leo is grinning. "Unless you lost your hearing ability to hear even meters away from us." He teased her.

"Jerk! I won't lose a battle to anyone!" She shouted. "Especially to that human Princess! Prince Conrad and the whole royal family are just using her!"

"What are you talking about over there?!" My mother is scolding us through the mind link. "The Princess might hear you! Thalia, who are you to say those things about the royal family?!" Thalia's eyes widen in shock. She looked at my mother and bowed her head. "I am prohibiting you, Thalia, to talk to Princess Liviana. Is that clear?!"

""Yes, your majesty. I apologize." Thalia said and walked away. My mother is kind but strict. She was once a Luna of this pack, and she's good in battle as well. Like my brothers, she's treating the Princess differently. She must like her too.

I shook my head and followed Thalia. I caught up to her at the back of our packhouse. "Please be mindful of your words from now on, Thalia."

"I'm your mate! I should be the Crown Princess!" She yelled in frustration. My mother can still hear her.

"It's King and Queen's decision that even their son cannot do anything about it." I explained to her. She rolled her eyes and walked away from me. Since I don't have the energy to argue with her, I decided not to follow her anymore.

When I got back, I found Princess Liviana surrounded by pups and two morons, namely Odin and Leo. Those pups are sitting around her while she's happily talking. It seems like she's telling a story, and they are enjoying her company. The two morons are laughing like an idiot. I wonder what she's telling them.

"She's a good person." My mother suddenly appeared beside me. She's also looking at them. "She has the qualities of a good Queen."

"How about being a Luna?" I asked.

"She's everything that you need either as a King or as an Alpha. Try to ask your wolf; he might help you." She tapped my shoulder and walked towards Princess Liviana.

We returned to the castle before sunset. Princess Liviana stayed quiet during our travel. I wonder what she was thinking. Why I always wonder what she was talking about anyway? I mentally slapped my face in that thought.

"Your majesty, do you have a library in the castle?" Princess Liviana asked while we're walking in the hallway.

"We do. It's in—"

"I'll take you there." I interrupted my mother from talking. "You may go ahead, mother." I told her as she smiled widely.

"Alright, see you later, Princess Liviana." My mother said and walked away. Princess Liviana nodded and smiled.

"This way." I told her, and I started to walk. She followed me quietly. "Connor told me what happened to you last night." I started a conversation. "He told me that you saw wolves in the garden."

"Yes, your highness. It looked huge up closed." She answered. "The bright brown wolf's fur looks soft; I like his fur's color." My wolf that's sleeping a while ago just woke up by the things he heard. He's happy to overhear those compliments from her. "Its brown eyes are glowing like yours."

"What?" I immediately turned to her. How can she compare my eyes in just a few seconds of looking at her?

"You have the same eyes." She said casually. "It's glowing… like right now." I immediately diverted my gaze, and I turned my back on her. "Is it normal to have glowing eyes, your highness?" The first time these eyes of mine glow was when we first saw her.

"It's not glowing, you're just imagining it." I denied as I continue walking. "Why do you want to see the library?" I asked to change the topic.

"One of my hobbies is reading books." She answered. "I like history, fictional novels, and documentaries."

"You're a nerd." I commented.

"I beg to disagree, your highness." She walked beside me and looked at me. "Reading is fun, you will discover the world. Reading books are not being a nerd." She said, smiling. I was taken aback by her sudden action. My wolf wanted to get out and cuddle her, but I tried my best to restrain him. "Are you alright, your highness?" She looks at me like I'm some strange guy. I didn't get it, she just smiled at us, but her effect on my wolf is powerful. If she's my mate, she should've felt the strong pull between us.

I pull myself together and walked straight to the library. I opened the door, and I immediately leave her behind. I ran outside the castle and shifted in my wolf form. If I stayed more minutes with her, I wouldn't be able to control the wolf inside me anymore. How could I get a good sleep in this damn situation?
