Chapter 11

Prince Conrad's POV

I looked at Princess Liviana as she walked inside the castle. "She's a well-mannered Princess, don't you think so too?" I shifted my gaze to Thalia who's smiling mischievously. "She knows her place well."

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I control my temper.

"I missed you, Prince Conrad. You're not visiting me anymore." She walked in front of me. I shoved her away when she was about to hug me. She looked shocked at what I did. "What's the matter? Are you tired?" She asked in a sweet voice.

I shook my head and stepped back. "No. Please don't come here anymore."

"What? Why? I need you to claim me now and be your Luna, my Prince." She smiled, almost pleading.

"My wolf doesn't want you to be his Luna." I said frankly. "He's telling me that Princess Liviana is our mate and not you."

"No! That's impossible! My wolf's telling me you're my mate! Your wolf was wrong!" She shouted angrily.

"How dare you raise your voice on me! I'm your Alpha!" I yelled as I growl. She stepped back as she bowed. "You're not the one to tell me who's my mate! Now let's stop this thing between us and never show your face in front of the Princess!"

"She tricked you! That human did something to you, I knew it! She cannot be your mate!" She was panting as she yelled. Anger and frustration consumed her.

"She didn't do anything!" I growled at her. "My wolf never reacted this way towards you! You must be the one who did something to me! I was attracted to you before the Princess arrived, but it vanished!"

She shook her head while crying. "No! I cannot accept this! I will make sure I will be your Luna!"

"Our Luna has been decided." We're shocked to see Connor walking towards us. "Our Luna is Princess Liviana." He said directly to Thalia. "We will never acknowledge you as our Luna!"

"She will bring nothing but bad luck to this kingdom and our pack." Thalia said furiously.

"The Moon Goddess will never give us a Luna that has the same level as you." Connor's provoking her. "Stop making things complicated and be satisfied for being just a normal she-wolf of our pack unless you want to be called a rogue wolf."

"I'll be delighted to hunt you down." Colten suddenly appeared. He has this unpleasant aura around him. What happened to these two?

Thalia looked defeated. She shouted out of anger, then she shifted into a wolf and run away. "You're way being too protected of my wife." I told them.

"We're protecting our Crown Princess and our Luna. She's the future Queen." Connor stated.

"I'm protecting my sister." Colten said coldly and went back inside. I was amused by his sudden change of character.

"Am I the outsider here?" I asked Connor. He just smiled and shrugged before following Colten inside.

Accepting the fact that she's my mate is way too complicated. How should I explain our kind to her? I was scared of what will be her reaction. I was thinking of the worst scenario that may happen once she found out. I was trying to talk to her, to be with her all the time, and to get her attention. She doesn't seem affected by my presence. Is the pull affecting her? I have so many damn questions about her past too. I wanted to know why she tried to kill herself.

Princess Liviana's POV

Two weeks had passed, and I noticed some changes in your highness's treatment of me. He's making me mad, frustrated, confused, and bothered.

Two weeks ago, I was sleeping again on the couch because I cannot stand sleeping on his bed anymore. I was shocked when he told me to stay on his bed, and he's the one who'll sleep on the couch. I was bewildered for a moment, but I tried to pull myself together and rejected his offer. However, the next day, I found myself waking up on his bed while he's sleeping on the couch. To my surprised, I shouted at the top of my lungs that made him woke up.

Since then, I always sleep on the couch and ended up waking on his bed the next day. He also showed up every now and then whenever he wants to. He always shows up while I was reading, he will just sit beside me and do nothing. I was grateful he's not disturbing me from reading. One day, I remembered to ask him about the kingdom's history.

"I wonder why there's no book about your kingdom, your highness. I already checked all the books in the library." He looked at me but shifted his gaze immediately.

"We don't have books regarding our kingdom." He said plainly.

"Why? I'm interested to know more about your kingdom along with your culture, your ancestors, your beliefs, your—"

"Stop saying 'your', will you?" His eyebrows knitted as he said those words. "This kingdom is yours too; you now belong here and only here. Learn to accept that." He said and walked away, leaving me dumbfounded. That guy is too serious all the time. Geez.

I also attended one of their council meetings; they announced that a representative from their neighboring and allied kingdom will arrive to settle some issues like security and mismanagement of resources.

"I will introduce you as my wife." He said abruptly after the meeting. I avoided his gaze and smiled.

"It's fine if you'll introduce me as the Crown Princess and not as your wife. I don't mind." I uttered. He suddenly stopped and looked at me furiously. I was taken aback by his reaction. Did I say something weird?

"Are you disgusted to be my wife?" He asked and walked away while reciting a sentence of profanity. What's up with him? He likes to walk away every time we talk.
