Princess Liviana's POV
The next day, while we were having our lunch at the garden, Prince Andrew suddenly appeared. I saw how my husband's eyebrows knitted. Then, my brother showed up as well.
"We will watch the horse racing. Do you want to join us, Lili?" My brother asked. He totally ignored my husband. I feel uneasy about this.
I smiled at him before answering. "I'll pass, brother. My husband and I have plans for the rest of the day." I answered.
"Is that so?" He said. He looked at Prince Andrew, who is just looking at me seriously. "I understand. We will go ahead. See you later, Lili." My brother stated as he dragged his best friend away.
"Do we have plans?" He asked. I looked at my husband, who looked confused. I chuckled as I drank my juice.
"We do. I will show you around the castle. We will go to the ranch, to the market, and the beach." I enumerated.
"I have no recollection of agreeing to these plans. Did you ask for my permission?" He asked as he smirked.
"Then, I should have gone to the horse—"
"I was just kidding, my Princess. You should take jokes once in a while." He said, smiling while moving his eyebrows up and down.
I shook my head. "Finish your food." I said.
"I thought you are going with them." He said while munching his food.
"I know you'll get mad if I did." I said. He suddenly looked at me. "What? I know how to consider your feelings once in a while." I added.
He avoided my gaze, and he looked in the opposite direction. "What feelings are you talking about?" He said as his ears turned red. He is not good at lying.
After our lunch, we decided to start our trip around the kingdom. I showed the library where I spent most of my childhood days. "So, did you read all the books here?" He asked as he looked around the room. "You're boring." He added.
"I think I misheard you. You mean I'm a genius, right?" I asked as I rolled my eyes at him. He just laughed. After checking all the dusty shelves, we headed to our next destination, the ranch.
"The King and the former Kings love to take care of different animals. They build this ranch to raise them. They also let the farmers use this land to improve their livelihood." I explained while we are both looking at the widespread area of land.
"Have you tried farming?" He asked while looking at the bunch of farmers eating their food under the tree.
"I did. I tried and helped to plant corn and grapes. I felt so happy while harvesting it. It feels different when you worked hard for something that you liked then you got the good taste of its result. It was so fulfilling. I've got good experience working with the farmers. They really are dedicating their effort and time to serve nutritious food." I stated. "How about you? Have you tried something different than training?" I asked.
"I do hunting." He said.
"Hunting? Is that different?" I asked curiously.
"I hunt without any equipment like guns and arrows. I do it by my own strength." He explained.
"Really? I did not know that you are strong." I said, smirking. I wonder how he does that or is that even true?
"I will show you next time." He said. "Do not underestimate your husband; I am still the Crown Prince." He said. Boastfulness is overpowering him.
"What does being a Crown Prince have to do with hunting using only your strength? I'm lost." I asked.
"You're missing the point." He commented. "Crown Prince's strength is different."
"I still don't get it. Can we just move on and go to our next destination?" I asked as I walked ahead of him. I can still hear that he's mumbling or more like complaining while following me.
We went to the market, the busiest place in our kingdom when there's no party in our castle. Our market is probably bigger than their market. They are selling different products from the different kingdoms. "I will buy some gifts for Connor and Colten." I said as we jumped from one store into the other.
"Don't spoil them too much." He said.
"I promised that I will bring them some gifts. How about you, do you have anything that you want to buy?" I asked him as I was looking at the clothes in front of me. I don't know what to give them. They are Princes, they have anything they want. This is harder than I thought.
"I don't have anything to buy." He said, just like what I thought. We still tried to look for gifts until I saw something that I thought Colten would like. "What is that?" He asked as he approached me.
"It's a goldfish in the glass bowl." I explained. "I think Colten would like this. What do you think?" I asked. "He can take care of it."
"I'm not sure, but I think it's unique, and we never had a pet. I think he will like it." He said. I smiled and bought the pet fish from the vendor. We went to the last store, and I bought something for Connor.
Before the sunset, I invited him to go to the beach. "What is this?" He asked as he looked at the setup that I planned to surprise him. I asked few people to make this surprise dinner possible. I instructed them to put a blanket on the sand. I asked them to serve steak, mashed potato, and red wine. To add some effect, I also asked them to light a few candles and put them around the blanket.
"I know I've been hard on you lately, so I thought I should make it up to you." I explained. "It's not too late yet for our first wedding anniversary, right?" I asked while smiling.
He slowly looked at me with an expression that I cannot define. I don't know if he's happy, sad, or surprised. I think it's mixed emotions. He looked at me for a few seconds more, and then he suddenly hugged me. I can feel my body tensed and my heart beats irregularly. He stayed quiet for few seconds as he caresses my back. "Are you crying?" I asked as I chuckled.
He broke off the embrace then he looked at me. "A man should be the one doing this kind of stuff, my Princess." He stated. "I'm surprised, and I love it." He said while smiling genuinely. This is the first time that I did this kind of thing. All I wanted to do is make him happy even once in a while. Also, most of the time, we are treating each other as friends than as a married couple. I don't know if doing something like this would make us a couple, but I am happy that our relationship is improving as time passed by.
