Princess Liviana's POV
After leaving the coffee shop, I started looking for my husband and my brother. However, I felt a bit of guilt for leaving Prince Andrew. To think of it, we were just talking casually and normally a while ago, and then he suddenly snapped. What he said confused and worried me. He was like a distant brother to me, but I never thought that he has that kind of intention on me. My brother never mentions a thing about this.
Is he broken-hearted because of me? Am I really the bride and future wife he was talking about since he came back? Does my husband know? No, I should stop thinking about it. I should stay away from Prince Andrew.
When I was about to enter the gate of the castle, someone grabbed my arm. "What are you doing?" I asked as I shouted. He dragged me to the isolated area a few meters from the gate. "Let go of me." I commanded as I tried to pull back my arm. I did not notice that he followed me. "What do you want, your highness?" I asked politely. However, I know my facial reaction tells him that I'm really mad. He decided to let go of me after few seconds.
"I want to apologize for snapping at you. I don't mean to hurt you, Princess Liviana." He said calmly. He breathed out as he looked at me. "A few years ago, I told your brother that I am going to marry you once I came back. I am in love with you since we were young." My eyes widen in disbelief as I stepped back. He just answered my questions in my mind. What the hell? "I was happy when he told me that you and Prince Philip broke up, but what shattered me was when I found out that you're married." A glimpse of pain runs through his eyes. He must be serious to be seen in this kind of state. He looked vulnerable.
"I am grateful, Prince Andrew. On the other hand, you knew that I am married. Telling me all of this won't change a thing." I said calmly.
"I can leave everything behind just to be with you." I was so surprised to hear those words from him. From a crown prince who studied and trained overseas to be the best king, his kingdom will ever have. I have no idea that he's willing to throw and do everything for me. However, those reasons are just simply unacceptable.
"I'm very disappointed, your highness." I said as he looked at me in disbelief. "I never thought that you're willing to run away from your responsibility in exchange for your selfish desire." His eyes widen as he tried to process what I was saying. "I am not worth it as replacement of your crown as the King. The whole kingdom needs you, and I am looking forward to your future as the King. I am now someone's future Queen, and I have no intention of leaving my future King's side." I said as I smiled. "Long live the future King!" I finally said, and I curtsied before leaving him behind.
When I entered the castle, I breathed out to release the nervousness and tension that I was feeling inside me all along. I hurriedly run going to our room, I might find my husband there and I there he is. He was sitting on the floor, outside of our room. "What are you doing there?" I asked as I approached him. He looked at me and smiled. "Are you tired? You have the spare key, why don't you—" I stopped because of his sudden act of affection. I was startled when he pulled me down and hugged me. "You missed me that much?" I asked as I chuckled.
"I missed you to the moon and back." He said as he chuckled. "Being with your brother was boring as hell." He said as I smacked him on his arm. "You are boring siblings." He added as he laughed.
"How dare you bad mouth us? May I remind you that you are in our territory, mister? You should keep your mouth shut." I warned him as he laughed. I felt his hug tighten as he rested his chin on my shoulder. "What happened?" I asked in a soft voice.
"I just found out how amazing and one of a kind you are." He said as he chuckled.
"Are you mocking me?" I asked seriously.
He laughed before answering my question. "Of course not." He denied.
"Are you sick? Why are you suddenly praising me?" I asked curiously and suspiciously.
"It is because you deserved to be complemented by your own husband." He said as I felt him caressing my back. "Let us stay like this for a while, my Princess."
I nodded in response. "Where have you been? I've planned to look for you earlier, but something came up and stalled me from finding you."
"He introduced me to the boring members of the royal family and the boring members of the aristocrats." He said as he chuckled.
I shook my head. "You must have looked bored while talking to the boring members of my family, your highness." I said sarcastically as he cracked up. "What the hell? What's the matter with you? Stop mocking us, will you?" I asked, slightly irritated.
"I apologize to my boring wife." He said as he continued laughing hard. "I just love teasing you with the word. It's funny, and I like it." He explained as he controlled himself not to laugh more.
"You are boring as hell, too. Jerk." I said that made him cracked up again. He is now crying and laughing at the same time. I don't know if I should get offended by that. However, I like the sound of his voice, how happy and carefree he is.
"Hearing you say those words made my day. I never thought that you are capable of saying words like that." He commented.
"I can shift from a prim and proper Princess into a badass one." I said with confidence.
"Now I know I was wrong to call you boring because you are so cool, my Princess." He said while chuckling.
"You should know better. You found the most amazing, one of a kind, and the most badass Princess." I said as we both laughed.
