Chapter 30 : Goodbye

After going through a night that almost made us give up, we woke up and prepared ourselves to take the test and hoped that no other burden would bother us.

We also came to school earlier than usual for calming down ourselves for the test later. However I was still overwhelmed by the thoughts from last night, so I was afraid with the result…but luckily Anna who looked really depressed last night is now looking relaxed.

But as time passed when the test started, I started to forget what happened yesterday and did all the tests with ease until the break came.

"Any problems when you do the test?" Ask me to Anna

"A little bit, I'm still thinking about last night." Said Anna

"No doubt."

"But we have to prepare for the interview session after this." Said Anna

"Ye-yeah, I'm ready...how about you? You looked really depressed last night...I'm afraid of how you'll be." I ask

"I...I'll be fine...trust me, ok?" Said Anna

*SMILING* "Yeah, sure...good luck!"

"You too!" Anna went to class.

Suddenly John rushed to meet me

"What's wrong? You look panicked?" I said

"What's wrong? It's about last night...did you really impregnate Anna?" Ask John

"Wait, you really believe that? Haha" I almost forgot that I asked John about this

"So you're just kidding? Then why are you asking me that and not picking up my phone!?" Ask John

"Oh, hahaha... actually I'm playing this dating sims made by my childhood friend from Japan, and my heroine is showing the signs you mentioned even though I haven't found the sex route I wanted to try in the first place. I panicked and called you." Sorry Sasaki, I had to mention you.

"Then why you said perhaps?" Ask John

"Ahahaha... I was messing around with you, you know...why do you think like that? You should know I laughed out loud when I wanted to pick up your call tho." I said

"Well shit, Kazuki...i thought something like that happens." Said John with relief

"By the way, how about your test earlier? Any problem?" I ask

*SIGH* "I keep thinking about this you know? Luckily it's only a written test, because what really matters is the interview later... I'm so glad you told me the truth..." Said John

"I'm really sorry man...i wont do that again." I said

"Aight, I'm going back...remember, don't do that again aight"

"Why do you really care about this tho?" I ask

"Huh?"

"I mean is like...if this really happens, this is my business...not your"

"Listen, I've been fine worrying about you, and this turned out to be what you want?" Said John

"Its not what i mean...i mean-" Before i finished speaking, John immediately grab my collar and pulled me to a place that teachers rarely walk around it.

"Aight, I'm tired of all this...the reason you going to the same school with Anna here is because you love this town and were asked to look after Anna right? And I'm here with Bella because Anna's parents asked her to look after you guys...plus I like this town too. You know, Joe's starting to get suspicious of you guys." Said John

"Yeah, he already know it....and also what's wrong with you guys? Are you spy or something? Haha." I said

"Oh shut up please?" Said John while clenching his fists ready to punch me

"Kazuki? Josh? What are you guys doing here?" Ask Reika

"Oh, we are just playing...and it's John, not Josh." Said John

"Playing around? Am i fool? Go back to your class...John!" John went back to his class

"Kazuki, are you alri-" I immediately dragged Reika into the warehouse and locked the door.

"Who the hell are you?" I ask

"What do you mean? I'm Reika, your new teacher and your friend." Said Reika

"You said you were a third year college in the art class (Read Chapter 16). And at that time you said that you would leave Japan for America and move to teach to another school to avoid Ryan (Read Chapter 23). That times, on my minds is only Anna...I just realized something was wrong when you were standing waiting for the right moment to show up." I said

"The perfect moment to show up? What do you mean?"

"This area is very rarely traveled by teacher, why did you use this area?" I asm

"Rarely...not never." Said Reika

"Yeah, but why did you follow me all the way here and overhear my conversation with John?"

"Following you? What do you mean? I was just passing through this place and heard some noise, so I'll check it out." Said Reika

"Bullshit! I saw you already when John pulled me here!" I said

"......"

"Now tell me...who are you?"

*SIGH* "Sorry im lying about I'm an art student...I just...you know, if I lied about my age and said younger, I feel like we can get closer and find Anna easier right? and because of you going back to America so I think it's better if I tell the truth...but sadly you didn't notice it..." Said Reika

".....I'm sorry I've been rude to you, I just...I just having a lot on my mind right now." I said

"I haven't seen you like this in a long time. Would you tell me what happens?"

"Why did you follow me when I was arguing with John."

"Even though I'm your friend, I'm still a teacher...I want to minimize violence in this school." Said Reika

"...Anna might got pregnant."

"Wow...i...i don't know what to sa- "

"Don't tell anyone! especially Kate." I said

"I won't...did you test it with a test pack?" Ask Reika

"Yeah..."

"Which type?"

"The stripe one." I said

"Seriously? It's outdated and no one sells it anymore in this town." Said Reika

"Whoa, really!?"

"Yeah...where did you get it?" Ask Reika

"At the clinic near the cake shop in front of the station... they said they had to anticipate this so they had a lot of test packs stock." I said

"Is the box in good condition?"

"...seems to be a lot of dust." I said

"What? Why don't you trade it for a better one?" Said Reika

"I was so panic at that time, Reika! I went straight home when I got that thing."

"Well....it might have expired, so the result was positive, or Anna used it wrong, so it was positive, or maybe...Anna is really pregnant. Try buying a digital one." Said Reika

"Thats great! im gonna tell Anna right no- Huh?" I was surprised when I looked at the clock because it turned out that the interview test had already started.

"What happened?" Ask Reika

"The interview has started, I need to get back soon, see you." I said while running back to class

But, it turns out that it's Anna's turn for the interview

"So...Anna, right? I'm Lucy who will be interviewing you. Nice to meet you!"

"Yeah, nice to meet you too."

"How do you do today?" Ask Lucy

"I'm doin' good."

"So, Anna...what's your hobby?"

"I- i like singing, reading comics, and cooking." Said Anna

"Oh good...and five years from now, what do you want to be?"

"I- i really want to set up a place where children who are abused by their parents come together and sharing....but sometimes I also want to be a singer." Anna said

"WOW, Great!...and what was your motivation if you wanted to build a community and if you wanted to become a singer?"

"...That's because I was often abused by my mother and I'm still traumatized when I see her, even with hear her name...I don't want them to have that trauma and I will try to give a solution...and if I want to become a singer is just because of i love to sing." Said Anna

"Sounds Awesome! But how do you come up with a solution if you still have that trauma? Don't you think about dealing with your trauma first before giving a solution to someone else?" Said Lucy in a slightly mocking tone.

Anna looked really annoyed with Lucy's tone and really want to punch her face, but she remembered what I taught and did it

*SMILING* "What if you were me...Lucy?"
