CHAPTER 12
"Hey are you still mad ?"Lucas asked Abigail who was busy washing her face .Of course she was the dude just fed her face ice cream and then ran away making her chase him and to make things worse they both fell together on the ground though it was more like she fell on top of him.
"I said im not talking to you ,"She said it twice but there she was still talking to him.Lucas sighed as he walked her back home ,which was a long way .Why didn't they take the bus? or call someone to pick them up ? you wonder .
Well its simple Lucas is ...lets say not comfortable with 'moving metal boxes '(cars ) .He often gets car sick so walking for him was a much better option but even so in his entire life he didn't do much of walking it was always flying but now there he was using his two feet.
Though he got used to it a certain someone was definitely not ,Abigail was already tired ,they had done enough walking and running around for the evening .She just wanted to be in her bed at that time .
"Lucas ,can we take the bus ? or can you call Luke I'm so tired ,"she whispered lazily as she tugged on his sleeve .He was car sick but she wasn't so why make her suffer ?
After contemplating for a while he decided it was best to call Luke who definitely did not agree but after some persuasion he finally did .They waited for him at the closest bus stop which had bench luckily for them .Abigail leaned on Lucas as she was so tired that she actually dozed off ,poor her when she wakes up her neck would definitely be stiff if not numb .
After waiting for almost thirty minutes Luke finally arrived .Waking up Abigail was a task .She held tightly onto Lucas' waist not willing to let go but after a while Luke was finally able to wake her up but she ended up dozing off again but this time on the back seat of his car .After the warmth of her tiny hands left him he kinda felt disappointed .
"You owe me yet again ,"Luke said before driving away leaving his brother all alone .He could have continued to walk but he too was tired,after checking his surroundings and made sure no one was around he jumped higher than any creature could .
The distance between the ground and his feet was a long one ,it was not like our usual small jumps that we humans make .When he thought he was high enough he let out his magnificent long white wings ,which were definitely gracious .Yes wings and just like that he flew home not exactly home but the place where they lived temporarily .
He could have just teleported himself back 'home 'but it has been long since he had used his wings and plus he wasn't used to concealing them on a daily basis ,back at their home having their wings out was a normal thing but there on earth in the human realm it was absurd .
Lucas was lucky since he wasn't dealing with a snoring log at the back seat of his car .Luke just wished to drive faster and get rid of the log but due to traffic he couldn't .Well it was already eight in the evening it wasn't a surprise that the road was quiet busy .
A thirty minute drive took one and half hour ,for Luke it didn't matter much for Abigail it should have since it was past curfew and the latter didn't even have a clue since she was in slumber land having quite pleasant dreams .
After Luke parked his car not far from their gate he took on the task of getting the log to wake up and walk out of his car and after a few minutes of shaking and yelling she finally woke up.
Abigail sat upright as she rubbed her eyes ,"What time is it?"she asked as she let out a yawn .Luke didn't feel like answering her but instead took out his phone and gave it to her.
"Nine forty five, nine...Oh SHIT ! "she yelled before she quickly got out of his car taking her stuff along with her .She would be in trouble if their mother found out .With fingers crossed she walked into the compound ,she was lucky to find a maid outside thus she grabbed her by hand and whispered to her ear inquiring if her mother was still at home and the universe had yet gone against her as she heard a familiar voice behind her ,"What are you doing?"
