They meet again

While still deep in thoughts, Abby heard a voice called her name. What she saw when she looked back simply took her breath away. It was him, the man who has been giving her sleepless night for the past six weeks now.

"You!? What are you doing here!?" She asked him with surprise and joy written all over her face, the rhythm of her heart that had been on a mellow started to increase until it feels like her heart was about to burst from the excitement of seeing him again.

For six weeks, she has been yearning for him to call her. For six weeks, she has been unable to stop herself from grabbing her phone each time it rang, hoping that it was him that was finally calling her...and now he's finally in front of her in the physical.

She was very excited to see him today which happens to be her birthday...calm down Abby, not like you've not seen a good looking man before, just ease your mind will you...and please wipe that silly smile off your face, you're presenting yourself like a love-starved puppy.' She thought and mentally berated herself.

Abby has met many handsome men of course but this man was different from them all. He was breathtakingly good-looking. Having a mixed-race light brown skin color, translucent brown eyes, neat curly crew cut hair with a well-trimmed short beard.

He was tall, well over six feet in height. His white T. Shirt accentuating his very broad chest and his well-muscled thighs sinfully snugged close to the straight-fitting jeans he wore.

'Why...he's even more handsome than the last time I saw him' Abby thoughts while trying to shield her gaze from wondering downward below towards the obvious bulge distracting her sense of reasoning. 'Shouldn't he be arrested for indecent dressing?' She wondered.

He was leaning on a shiny black range rover sport that had HAWK 4 as its plate number. Hands stuffed in his jean pockets with legs casually crossed, looking like Adonis, the god of beauty and desire.

'...but why can't I callm down my heart beats?...calm down heart, don't give yourself hypertension' she tried calming herself by secretly breathing in and out as she slowly walked down to him.

She approached him one step at a time till she got to where he was standing since he couldn't be bothered to move from the comfort of the car that he was leaning on like a god.

"I came to see you" he replied her questions with that seductive teasing smile that she couldn't seem to forget no matter how hard she had tried to.

"Why?...you suddenly missed me after six weeks and two days?" she blurted out sarcastically without thinking.

'Ughhhh...' Abby groaned inwardly after realizing she had talked out of line. She would have blushed tomato red if she had not been dark in complexion. Mentally kicking herself for losing control over her mouth while thinking...

'What is wrong with me?! How could I have said that to a guy I barely know? So what if he promised to call me and never did for a whole six weeks? It's not like he owed a duty to call me. He's only asked you out for lunch once, he is not your boyfriend Abby! Get that into your skull.' She screamed at herself in her head.

'How embarrassing and pathetic! Why am I even finding it very difficult to act normal around him without having erratic heartbeats and saying stupid things in the process.'

"Hahaha..." He laughed "I never knew you would be keeping count of the days, otherwise I would have done everything humanly possible to be with you" he teased.

"Keeping count of the days? Who's keeping count of days? I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about. Why would I care about a total stranger?"

''Oh really?..." He said with a raised eyebrow and smiled mockingly at her claim. "You could have fooled me then." He added and winked.

It was six weeks and about twenty-seven hours to be precise. You are not the only person who has been keeping counts of the days, nothing to feel embarrassed about. Just admit it'' he said to her with that annoying and mocking smile on his face again.

'Why do I have to be so affected by him?...not like I've not met good-looking men before. What was it that made him so different from the guys I've met before him?' She almost gnashes her teeth in frustration as she thought to herself.

'Oh crap! Now how can I possibly salvage the self-pride that I already shattered with my fast mouth!?'
