When she woke the next morning Temari woke with a smile. It was the first time in a long time she actually looked forward to starting the day. Daichi had been so patient with her as she painted, even getting into by adding little doodles in the corners of the wall to pass the time. When she was finished he wouldn't settle for anything less then taking her all the way to her doorstep. Thankfully, no one woke up when the porch light turned on. She rolled over in bed looking at the clock, it was still early but she had to get up and get ready for school.
Sleepily she got out of bed and walked to the door rubbing her eyes. As soon as she opened the door Miwa ran past her towards the bathroom holding her stomach and mouth. As her eyes followed Miwa she watched Tobio, who was about to walk into the bathroom, get thrown by Miwa out of the way.
"What the hell Miwa!" he exclaimed hitting the wall. Temari ran after her sister as she heard the sounds of gagging. Temari pulled her sisters hair back as she threw up into the toilet.
"Just use grandpa's bathroom," Temari told him and Tobio nodded.
Temari tried not to look, she could feel her own stomach acid begin to enter her throat. She was a little frightened at how violently Miwa was throwing up. Was this because of something she ate or was it because of the pregnancy? Temari rubbed her sister's back as she continued to retch into the toilet. Finally, after a good ten minutes, Miwa sat up, wiping her mouth.
"Thanks," she said.
"That was disgusting," Temari said and Miwa chuckled.
"Yeah you think?" Miwa responded.
The two sat in silence, Miwa leaning against the bath tub next to the toilet and Temari was leaning against the cabinet.
"Miwa can I ask you a question?" Temari spoke first.
"What's up?" Miwa asked.
"Who is the father?" Temari asked. "Not that I'm judging or anything," she added quickly. "I just didn't even know that you were seeing someone.
"It's okay, Tobio asked me the same question, and well you know grandpa." she sighed.
"Yeah," Temari said.
"He's a really nice guy," Miwa answered. "We met at work, went out a few times, but I told him with everything I have going on in life with taking care of grandpa, taking care of you guys, I just didn't have time for anything serious."
"And now you're pregnant," Temari said.
Miwa let out a chuckle. "Yeah, its funny how these things work out."
"Does he know?" Temari asked.
Miwa shook her head. "I don't know how to tell him."
Temari nodded. Suddenly Miwa gagged again and threw herself over the toilet. Temari jumped up and grabbed her hair.

"Daichi!" he heard the high pitched scream of Mitsui. What the hell was she doing here on the weekend?
He turned to face her, duffle bag in hand. "Morning, Mitsui,"
"I brought you some rice cakes," she smiled closing her eyes holding out a small plastic container.
"Uh thanks," he said taking the container. Daichi then turned back to the gym. It was almost time for the freshman game to start. "How'd you know I was going to be here?"
"Oh come on," Mitsui laughed. "You're the captain Daichi, you're always here, plus isn't the first Saturday always the freshman try out game?"
"Yeah," he answered honestly a little creeped out. "Well anyway thanks for these," he took one step into the gym then turned to close the door.
"I can't sit in like I always do?" she asked giving him big puppy dog eyes.
"Sorry, closed practice you know the drill." he smiled sheepishly then closed the door letting out a sigh of relief.
"Who was that?" Hinata asked.
"Never mind," Daichi said. "Here," he shoved the plastic container into Hinata's hands then walked over to the stage.
"Mitsui caught you didn't she?" Sugawara said.
"Yeah," Daichi chuckled.
"Man she is all over you," Tanaka laughed.
Daichi shook his head taking off his jacket. He looked around the gym notice Tobio was here, but Temari wasn't. Where was she? Had she gotten in trouble for sneaking out?
"Come on. let's warm up." Daichi said changing the subject.
Tanaka walked over to his own side of the court and Daichi walked to his. He began to stretch and down ball exercises to warm up his team. They were very cocky, especially the blonde one, Tsukishima. The whole time he was taking digs at Kageyama. When the game began it only got worse. Daichi didn't understand why Tsukishima had it out for Kageyama but maybe it was enough to shrink Kageyama's head a little. Daichi thought about last night. Looking at Kageyama you didn't expect for him to go through that kind of trauma. Him and his sister dealt with it so differently yet the same, both secluded themselves from outside social behavior. In Kageyama's case when he was faced with social interaction, he responded negatively. Temari was different, though maybe because hers was somewhat forced. Not being able to go out in public by ones self or get any kind of freedom would drive a person crazy which is why she was probably more open to it.
The game lasted for quite awhile with many surprises. As much as they hated each other Kageyama and Hinata were a power team that Kurasuno needed. Though he was sure Kageyama wouldn't admit it. Kiyoko passed out the team warm ups, Daichi thought it would be best to give Hinata the same number as the tiny giant, the student who had made their volleyball team famous. He saw a lot of resemblance. What Hinata lacked in height, he made up for in determination and spirit which is exactly what this team needed. When the game was over, they packed up their things and cleaned the gym. Then they headed out to the parking lot. Everyone trickled off as Daichi walked to his car. When he got in and looked back, he could see Kageyama walking down the hill. Daichi pulled up and rolled his window down.
"Want a ride?" He asked Kageyama.
Kageyama eyed him curiously then nodded. He opened the door then got in the car. On instinct Daichi pulled out into the street and towards Kageyama's house.
"Good job today," Daichi said to break the silence. "As much as you hate to admit it, you and Hinata could have a really good ability."
"Yeah," Kageyama scoffed.
Daichi thought about Temari and the way she yelled at Tsukishima. Temari protested Kageyama's rude behavior saying there was a reason. Maybe Daichi should give him a chance. The rest of the car ride was silent, Kageyama wasn't exactly the one to make conversation. When Daichi pulled up to the house, he noticed the colorful differences he hadn't seen last night. Beautiful purple and blue flowers decorated the porch in what looked like a well planted garden. The trees surrounding the property were in bloom, making it stand out from the rest of the houses.
"Thanks for the ride," Kageyama said opening the door.
"No problem," Daichi responded. He watched Kageyama walk up to the sidewalk and into the iron gate. Then up the stone path leading to the porch. Daichi waited a second hoping that it would be Temari that opened the door. It wasn't. Instead it was an elderly man in a wheelchair. He watched as the two argued. What were they arguing about? Daichi figured he had been sitting there too long and should leave. Just as he put the car in drive, Kageyama came running up to the passenger door. Daichi put the car in park and then rolled down the window.
"You don't have to say yes, if you got somewhere to be then go, but my grandpa has invited you in for dinner." Kageyama answered though his face looked like the words were a pain to get out.
"Sure, yeah, okay," Daichi responded turning off the car. He rolled up the window and got out. In the bag seat was his gym bag which he quickly took out a small travel bottle of cologne and sprayed himself. If Temari was here, he didn't want to smell like sweat. Daichi shut the door and locked the car then followed Kageyama up to the porch.
"Welcome, welcome," the elderly man said holding out his hand to Daichi. Daichi responded by shaking the mans hand. "Thank you for bringing my grandson home."
"It's no problem at all," Daichi bowed. "Thank you for inviting me to dinner."
"Of course, I have heard many things from my grandchildren, you might finally be the first captain to kick my grandson's ass."
"Grandpa!" Kageyama exclaimed.
"Oh hush, you need someone other than your sister to deflate that big head of yours." The elderly man said.
Kageyama grumbled then shuffled past the elderly man into the house.
"Please, please come in," the man said.
Daichi nodded and walked inside. It was a very humble home with an instant feeling of relaxation and comfort which was the complete opposite of his own house. It wasn't picture perfect, but lived in and warm. As soon as he entered the house he could the smell of miso soup hit his nostrils and he could feel his stomach began to gurgle. The elderly man wheeled his way down to the kitchen and Daichi followed. He could hear the sounds of pots clanking and two girls laughing.
"Miwa, Temari, make a little extra we have a guest here for dinner." the elderly man said as they entered.
"Yes, grandpa," Temari's voice sounded. She was standing by the sink, her back to them washing out what looked to be noodles. Her long hair was up in a ponytail that sat crooked on her head, leaning more towards the right of her head held up by a large purple scrunchie. She wore a large black oversized hoodie that engulfed her down to her mid thigh. He could see the fringes of white fabric just under the hoodie and assumed she was wearing shorts underneath.
"Oh hi, my name is Miwa," he hadn't noticed the other girl sitting on the counter opposite of Temari.
"Hello," Daichi answered bowing.
"Miwa get off that counter and greet our guest like a proper young lady." the elderly man scolded.
The older girl rolled her eyes and climbed off of the counter. She was tall with hair just like Temari. She wore a white t-shirt with black outlining at the bottom, the ends of the sleeves, and the collar. A single black rose decorated the breast pocket. She also wore a pair of oversized grey sweatpants.
"Hello," she bowed to him.
"Oh no that's not necessary," he said holding up his hands.
"Please this girl needs to learn her manners." the elderly man shot.
"Ah grandpa what has got you so upset today. Temari must have gotten your sassy pants out today." Miwa said sarcastically. The elderly man wheeled over to her and smacked the back of his hand against her arm.
Miwa laughed and sat back up on the counter.
"Temari aren't you going to introduce yourself?" Miwa asked. Temari didn't respond. Miwa sighed and Daichi noticed Temari's head was slightly bobbing. Did she have headphones in?
"Temari!" The elderly man said sternly. She still didn't respond. She continued to wash the noodles. She then turned holding a large bowl full of the noodles, her head down low and still bobbing. Daichi noticed the small air pods in her ears. Her soft lips quietly moving with the lyrics of the song. She began walking towards Miwa who pulled one of the ear buds out of her ears.
"Hey!" Temari exclaimed.
"We have a guest Temari!" Miwa exclaimed.
"Where?" Temari turned to Daichi. Here eyes widened and cheeks grew pink as her eyes met his.
"Daichi?" she asked dropping the bowl of noodles all over the floor.
