Chapter 276 - The Bodyguards

He thought that Laila had agreed to let him pay for her advertising, which is why he said he wouldn't let her lose. But he didn't know that Laila had just learned something infuriating from the people below - the background actors she had originally found at several talent agencies suddenly refused to participate in her movie, even if it meant paying breach-of-contract fees, all of which were now handled by someone else.

If it were just one or two, it could be considered a coincidence, but when everyone did the same, one couldn't help but wonder if there were other reasons behind it.

The people below reported the situation to Louise, and she quickly learned the truth. It turned out that Faiza had paid off all those people, and she took on all the breach-of-contract fees herself.

In fact, background actors mainly served as extras in fight scenes, and only a few had a line or two. Hollywood never lacked actors; standing at the entrance of a theme park and shouting "extras needed" would guarantee more than ten times the required number within minutes.

This may not seem like a serious issue, but it was quite disgusting!

Louise was furious and immediately went to several talent agencies to confront them. However, each of them took a humble stance, saying they had no choice. They claimed the other party offered more money, was willing to pay the breach-of-contract fees, and was incredibly wealthy, capable of buying out their companies in minutes. In such a situation, they had no other choice.

Louise was originally certified as a "good person" by Laila herself, and seeing the helplessness of the other party, she could only let it go. As a result, Laila's movie was now lacking many background actors.

According to the original plan, they wouldn't need actors to play underlings for the female boss for some time. However, to accommodate the foreign actors, Laila moved up the fight scenes, leaving Louise with no time to find replacements.

Laila was well aware that America was a capitalist society, and in the face of money, nothing else mattered. So, she wasn't too surprised by this turn of events, but she was still amazed at the lack of contract spirit from those talent agencies.

Regardless of how this matter was resolved, she decided to exclude those talent agencies from her future partnerships. Furthermore, this incident fueled her determination to expand the talent agency department.

Selecting actors from other talent agencies would take at least two or three days. The background action actors they had chosen this time were carefully selected by Louise from several talent agencies. Considering Laila's attitude towards filmmaking, every actor needed to have the best qualifications. Therefore, the selected actors had some martial arts skills, and they looked tough and menacing.

But now, none of them were available.

Laila didn't want to waste so many days searching for actors again, but if there was no other choice, she would have to delay for a few days. However, when she saw the group of bodyguards behind Prince Al Nadeem, she suddenly had an idea.

Who could be more suitable in terms of martial skills and appearance than these people?

"Are you serious? You're not joking, right?" After hearing Laila's request, Prince Al Nadeem was dumbfounded.

"Of course, don't you think it's an interesting experience?" Laila looked at him with a mischievous smile, using the tone and manner of the witch tempting Snow White with a poisoned apple, "Other people's bodyguards are just good at physical combat, but your bodyguards not only excel in that but also have experience in movies. Imagine how envious others would be."

Prince Al Nadeem rubbed his chin and blinked his eyes, "It seems to make sense." Having a group of bodyguards who had appeared in movies did seem more impressive.

When he said this, the faces of his bodyguards darkened significantly. They were bodyguards; their job was to ensure the safety of their master. Who had heard of bodyguards being sent to act in a movie?

"Your Highness, this is not acceptable," one of the bodyguards stepped forward with a troubled expression. "We can protect you, but we know nothing about acting. Fighting is one thing, but acting in a movie... that's something we've never learned."

Laila chimed in with a mischievous grin, "That's not a problem. You won't have lines to deliver; you just need to go along with getting knocked down when the female lead fights you. And our makeup artist is quite skilled; I guarantee no one who's seen the movie will recognize you."

The bodyguard scratched his head in embarrassment. Laila had just voiced their biggest concern. They were worried that their appearance in the movie would be seen by friends or acquaintances, leading to endless mockery and embarrassment.

"Alright then," Laila clapped her hands with a sly smile, leaving no room for them to change their minds.

"Wait," Prince Al Nadeem pointed to himself, "If they all go to film, what will I do?"

Laila did want him to stay as far away as possible, but she still needed him for now. She couldn't just turn against him so quickly. So, she thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you rest in the tea room here? If you're lucky, they might finish shooting their scenes in a day.

"I want to watch you shoot," Prince Al Nadeem made a request he hadn't even expected.

Laila sized him up and down, "I don't mind, but can you really handle being there? What happened to your fear of women? You're not going to miraculously get over it by reading a few books near me, are you? If you still have that special ability, maybe you should consider becoming a psychologist even if the director gives up on you."

"No, no," the prince replied, lacking confidence. But the thought of being near her, not far away, was irresistible.

Laila shrugged, "It's up to you. Just remember, once we're there, you have to follow my instructions, or else don't blame me for having a bad temper."

"Okay, I promise to listen to you," Prince Al Nadeem said like a child.

Laila gave him a puzzled look, sensing something strange about his attitude.

Could there be a conspiracy? After all, Faiza was his fiancée, and it doesn't seem impossible for him to do something detrimental to his fiancée to help her. If it weren't for the difficulty of finding suitable replacements for the bodyguards in such a short time, she would have already kicked him out. Hopefully, he wouldn't have any ulterior motives; otherwise, she would make him regret it.
