CHAPTER 7

Acacias POV

It baffles me how much power Scarlett held. She's such a beautiful, strong, and independent woman. Everything that makes a great leader and a Luna. I don't know what made me think otherwise earlier. Probably all the awful things my father and mother planted into my head.

'Maybe your big ass- toxic ass ego' Avery said annoyed

'Shut it' I said to him

'You almost cost me my mate so I get to be as stuck up, bitchy, mean, and annoying as I want' Avery said

'Whatever brat' I said before I blocked him out

Scarlett healed me when she closed the portal. I don't think she intended to but it just shows how powerful she truly is.

My mate, my Luna is an all-powerful witch and is gorgeous. Moon Goddess what did I do to get such a wonderful mate?

'Nothing, Nothing at all' Avery said coldly

'Shut it Avery' I said irritated

Avery just laughed

I watched Scarlett's every move she left my side when I promised her I was okay she didn't run to the sword but rather to her warlock friend that was killed by the crazy witch

'Lovestruck bitch' Avery said teasingly

'Weren't you dancing around when we first saw her and if anything you are the bitch here' I said

'Take that back' he said angrily

'naw I'm good' I said laughing a bit

'You little-' Before he can finish I cut the mind link

I looked down at the pile of ash and kicked it

"Bitch" I said looking down at the ash

I looked up to see Scarlett holding her friend in her hands and sobbing and stroking his hair. He was important to her. As much as I hated to see her cry she had to mourn or else she will bottle everything up which isn't good. I mean I speak from experience look how I turned out.

'Alpha king the pack grounds are clear of any rebel witches' said a warrior through the pack's mind link

'And the black cloud of dust' I said to the warrior

'Where ever it is, it's not on pack grounds' he said quickly

'Okay go around and check on every single pack member attend those who are injured' I said sternly

'Yes sir' some warriors said in union

Scarlett let go of her friend and allowed others to hold him and mourn him. She wiped her tears and stepped away she glanced at me and walked towards me

"Are you sure you are not hurt?" she said scanning me carefully

"I'm fine you healed me when you closed the portal don't know if you meant to though," I said admiring her beauty

"I don't remember-"

"I figured," I said pulling her into a hug

She sighed and hugged me back I inhaled her wonderful scent which made Avery stir wanting to take control. She makes me weak which is not good but I love whenever I'm around her. Even though I just met her and fought some rebel witches. I stroked her hair and felt her breathing become uneasy.

"Hey hey," I said holding her face with my two hands making her look at me

Her eyes were filled with tears

"Hey it's okay let it out," I said hugging her tightly again she then burst into tears and I held her tightly

Once she was done crying she grabbed my hand and we walked towards the sword. Which was being examined by a middle-aged couple. The woman embraced Scarlett into a tight hug they had similar features then it all clicked they were her parents. Shit. I don't do good with my parents.

"You must be Acacias," said Scarlett's father

"Yes sir," I said shaking his hand firmly

"You're my daughter's mate?" He said sternly

"That would be correct," I said looking over at Scarlett who is examining the sword with her mom

"Well to be a wolf's mate is destiny but if you hurt Scarlett...I'm sure she'll hurt you. She badass like that" he said whispering the last part before laughing out loud

I smiled at him and we walked towards the sword

"Ah you must be Acacias," Scarlett mother said stretch her hand out

"Yes ma'am that's me," I said taking her hand and shaking it

"Well I'm Karla and this is Adrien," she said giving her husband a side hug

Wait. The Karla and Adrien the ones who wiped the human's memories and the only ones who had a baby who hurt my father- I glanced over at Scarlett who was focused on the sword

"Ah I see you already know or heard of us," Adrien said chuckling a bit

"Yeah I have," I said glancing back at them

"My parents would kill me if they knew I let you step foot on pack grounds," I said folding my arms

"Oh-" Adrien was cut off by a loud growl

I looked back to see my father and mother who looked rather angry. I turned back at Scarlett who didn't seem to be fazed by my father's growl. My father stocked over at Adrien and Karla.

"I thought we made ourselves clear years back" my father glowed lowly

"Take your witches and warlocks back to your coven before I rip out all their throats and hang them with it-" my father growled out

"No need for hostility," Scarlett said looking up at my father

"If you want a full story I'm sure a pack member of yours can fill you in but right now we have to forget the past and focus on the present," she said kindly

"I don't give a shit take your sword and get off my pack grounds" my father snarled

"My pack" Scarlett said looking back at the sword

No one has ever stood up to my parents in the way Scarlett is except for me

"I beg your pardon" my mother questioned

This could go one of two ways my mom kills her or she likes her, hopefully she likes her

"Mother. Father meet my mate Queen Scarlett" I said looking at them waiting for their reaction

They both looked shocked exchanged a few words and tried to understand

"Your the baby that kicked my mate's butt before you were even born," my mother asked trying to hold her laughter

"Oh she didn't kick my butt," my father said

"Yeah she did" my mother giggled

"Yeah I think so," Scarlett said stepping forward she extended her hand with a kind smile

My mom took her hand and embraced her in a hug

Okay this is not the way I expected this to go I expected them to argue or Scarlett would have to put them in their place or something

But no they got along

My parents and Scarlett's parents exchanged weird looks and shook each other's hands and started having a civil conversation while Scarlett went back to examining the sword

I'm usually cold and stuck up but something about Scarlett makes me go soft and I can't tell if I like it or not

But I do like being around her

'Me too' said Avery star struck

Yeah and I'm the "lovestruck bitch"
