Chapter forty-three :)

It was a beautiful morning the sun shining brightly through the window lightening up the whole room. A huge suitcase spread open on the bed, Harry had really no idea what to pack. He had never been on vacation longer than two weeks and he was about to leave for more than two months. He and Louis had decided to spend the whole summer holidays on the road this year.

Like taking road trips seeing the world do whatever they want to, go wherever the way takes them. Stay where ever they like. Harry always wanted to do something like this, and because it was his last summer holidays before college it was perfect to do it now. "I don't know," Harry muttered uncertainly skipping through his closet.

"Don't think too hard Haz just take a few of your favourite pieces."

"Oh, and when I run out of clothes you want me to walk around naked?!"

"That was not what I was about to say but if you like I have nothing against it." Louis smiled sassy, like always. "Oh shut up." Harry laughed and pulled the smaller boy into his arms. "No, but honestly how do you imagine this trip with nothing more than a few clothes?" Louis let his hands slide up to Harry's neck leaving a path of tingles behind it and pulled him down for a kiss.

"We will see, that's what makes it an adventure Haz, and now pack and get your pretty butt into the car." He said playfully smashing his hand against Harry's bum. Harry burst out into laugher as well did Louis before he left to get the car ready.

After another ten minutes, Harry zipped the suitcase satisfied with his chosen clothes as his phone rang. "Hey, mom." He answered groaning at how heavy the suitcase was he almost dropped it. "Are you already on the road?"

"Not yet but in about five minutes. Why?"

"Just curiosity." She said in a high voice, Harry could tell it wasn't the reason she had called. However, since Charly was gone their contact had grown stronger. It still wasn't like it had been before but it got better with every day. And Harry was happy about it.

He had really missed her. He really did. "Harry hurry up," Louis yelled from downstairs. " I need to go now mom, but I will send you pictures like promised okay?" Harry could hear her smile at the other side of the line. "Okay, have fun sweety. Oh and check your bank account status once in a while." Then she hung up before Harry could question her.

What why?

Just do. I love you

Love you too

He texted her when Louis called him again and he left downstairs pulling the suitcase behind him. Louis was already waiting at the trunk smiling excitedly. But before starting the actual trip they drove over to Louis dad's house to see his sisters and Niall the last time. Liam and Zayn had already been over yesterday to say their goodbye and spend an evening together.

Harry was really excited for what would come next but he would miss the boys. It's just for a few months but he already knew he would miss Niall's "Awww you two are cute" his love for food or Liams father role in the group, how he always tried to keep the others safe from doing stupid decisions or Zayn who was in combination with Niall a total child.

But they all were Harry's home. They had helped him become who he is now, and without them, he would probably still be in that deep hole. He couldn't put into words how thankful he was that they helped him escape it. And now Louis was sitting next to him one hand at the starring wheel the other intertwined with his own like always.

The windows down, wind brushing back his hair and the sun reflecting in his black sunglasses. Harry admired him dreamily for a few second. He still couldn't believe that out of all Louis could have, he had chosen Harry to be his boyfriend. The radio started playing a song that completed the whole vibe.

Harry reached his free hand out through the window letting it float in the wind. Maybe that was it. Maybe now life would get better for both of them, finally after all those things that had happened. And to be honest he deserved it. He freaking deserved it. "Sun?" Louis turned "Haz?" They were driving through some abandon streets at the moment. No houses, no people just fields and the sun shining brightly from above.

"Pull the car." He said pointing at a tree right in the middle of one of the fields, Louis did as told and turned the volume of the radio higher so they would still slightly hear it at the tree. "Oh, I remember that song" Louis smiled sitting at Harry's left leaning against the bole. It was the same as when they have had their first kiss. Harry chuckled "Yes me too." he whispered.

The memories that song carried flashed through Harry's mind. The ice skating, dancing on the last floor of the shopping centre every movie night at Liam's or Chrismas eve at the wonderland. Wow, they had a lot of memories together. Not all had been good but that would change now. "Do you remember that day we all sang 'Yellow' out loud in the car?"

"Yes, why?"

"I was so stupidly in love with you." Louis chuckled. Harry had no idea why he told him that.

"Well," Louis started sowing his sunshine smile. "Me too." He laughed.

"I know."

"What? How?"

"Niall told me." Harry's smile was so wide it almost hurt. "At the beach," Harry added at Louis asking look at him. Louis burst into chuckles "I love this guy." Harry raised an eyebrow "Oh? Do I have to worry?" He joked. It made Louis laugh until he runs out of breath, honestly, it wasn't even that funny but somehow Louis couldn't stop. "Okay, okay let me get something." Then he ran back to the car.

Harry leaned his head back looking into the sky it was clear blue, birds singing and the sun feeling warm on his bare skin. Those were the moments when Harry really loved summertime. Such a great feeling, he could sit there for multiple hours just thinking. He inhaled the fresh air just as Louis let himself fall next to him.

The yellow book in his hand. "Here." He said handing it over to Harry. He raised an eyebrow and took it. "Thanks?" It took him a few seconds until he remembered Louis writing stuff in it that he wasn't allowed to see, not yet. It was stuffed with colourful sticky notes and thousands of sidenotes. Some refer to the poems others to Harrys own notes.

He had totally forgotten about those, most of them were insecure and sad but also some really smart thoughts. Louis' ones were sassy, cute and funny at the same time. One quote said 'There is hardly anything as beautiful as a woman in a long dress, not even the sunrise...' A note of Luis was 'Oh there is: A curly-haired boy with crystal green eyes and smile so bright it sends butterflies through my whole body'

Or another page had Louis little smiley next to a marked line that said. 'Forever, whatever forever means.' And a lot more. "I just needed to write everything down that I wasn't able to tell you."

"I love it," Harry said honest, those were just a few things he read so far and this book was overfilled with more notes. "This is exactly what I will read our daughter to sleep one day." Louis laughed "Sure Haz. Little reminder that you still go to college."

"Yes but I could totally handle this." Harry never really thought of having children, but the idea made him excited for the future. "We could call her Darcy."

"Okay enough of this cheesy stuff, let's go." He laughed and offered Harry his hand.

"Ready?"

"Ready when you are," Harry answered taking his hand and getting up on his feet. They walked back to the car hand in hand "But just imagine a child now wouldn't that be cute?"

"Oh god Haz you're driving me crazy" Louis laughed.

"I love you too, Sun."
