The next day he woke up confused as he stood up and hit his head. Jeremy gained a huge smile on his face right after hitting his head as he had just remembered where he was. His internal clock woke him up before anyone other than the night shift front desk clerk had gotten off.
As he walked towards the front door with his wooden practice sword he waved at the confused old man reading a book. The old man was just as small as Liz however he was looked to be around 70 years old and looked like he was withering away his hair was gray and short it was thick every except the top of his head his glasses sat perched at the end of his nose and his eyes looked like he was barely able to keep them open.
"I'll be back" he looked back and said before he took off for his morning practice. When he returned it was just before he was supposed to start knight training. As he ended up getting lost in the new area trying to run as much as he normally did getting odd looks everywhere he went.
The old man was stared at him covered in sweat in awe of what he was seeing. As Jeremy strode past the man heaving for another breath he had waved again as Liz was next to the old man.
He looked at Liz and said "Who is that Giant... " with an impressed look on his face "A new adventurer?" he said excitedly.
"No" she replied with a depressed look on her face " That is Henry's son..."
The old man's expression changed to that of sorrow "Poor boy" he said as he put his jacket on to leave for his own family.

Jeremy had left to the Knight school with practice sword in tow on his way he met up with his best friend Ray. Ray was a young lad that looked his age, short brown hair that was kind of un-tidy and brown eyes. His build was muscular but no where near as muscular as Jeremy. Ray is an average student who took a liking to Jeremy because of the way the girls treated him. He was looking for a way to get a quick girlfriend when he noticed that all the girls flocked to Jeremy he started to hang around him. While also trying to earn protection from the older boys in the school, Ray soon learned that he was wrong to believe that but had already been hanging out with Jeremy so much he didn't know what else to do.
"Did you finish your morning training late today?" Ray said as he looked at Jeremy
"Yeah I got lost in the new area" Jeremy depressingly replied
"Lets hurry so that we aren't late to school" Ray said as he took Jeremy's books and practice sword and started to run. Ray knew about Jeremy's condition and helped as much as he could as to not be brought down by Jeremy and be supportive of him as well.
As the pair ran to school Ray was the first to arrive, as he strode into the front gate he looked as though he had a thin bead of sweat on his forehead that you wouldn't notice unless you were paying attention. Followed by Jeremy who you could hear wheezing from down the block and was drenched in sweat. He collapsed the moment he passed through the threshold as this has happened many times before the nurse was already waiting outside by the entrance for ray with a glass of water and a bag to help regulate his breathing.
"Good Morning Ray!" the Nurse with pink hair and a slim figure said while looking toward Ray. She then turned and her eyes went to slits that looked like she didn't even have them open "I see you returned again today" she said in disgust.
"Yhhesss... Mhaa- aaahhhaammm" Ray said trying to catch his breath and a smile on his face.
"Well try not to bring Ray down with you at least" she said as she took the cup from Jeremy and returned to the main building.
Ray helped up Jeremy and they both started walking to class. Jeremy and Ray always got strange looks at school by both the teachers and the students. Jeremy was not silent about his goals and asperations and earned the nickname 'The Worst Hero Ever'. This never bothered Ray and Jeremy before but today was different as there was a high ranked adventurer that was taking a couple of random kids in school to one of the "training portals". They called it this because there was usually no demons or demon beasts around and the gravity was 20 times that of Earth.
Jeremy and Ray didn't even think about getting picked but the others had been hoping that maybe Jeremy would go with and get lost so that he could stop bringing the rest of the school down with him.
In school Jeremy excelled at the normal subjects such as reading and writing but anything that was knightly he was always the bottom of the barrel. He had never won a sparring match and always challenged anyone he could. This caused a lot of annoyance with his classmates and his teachers. As he eventually ran out of students to challenge he challenged the teachers to sparring competitions.
'Anything to get stronger' he thought.
There was an assembly called to choose who would go with the adventurer and unknown to Ray, Jeremy had a plan to go with no matter what.
As the assembly started they went over the normal things such as rankings of the school and assessments coming up. Jeremy and Ray would usually sit in the front row because of Jeremy's bad eyesight he was ready. They introduced the Adventurer he was an A rank adventurer who was only slightly smaller than Jeremy in both height and size as he walked into the room he asked one of the teachers "Is that blonde man in the front row a teacher why isn't he over here with us?"
The teacher he looked at rolled his eyes and said "No he is a student he is...."
The adventurer had already been called up to the center of the room before the teacher could finish his sentence. The adventurer had a smile and bright eyes on his face due to what he just learned. ' Everyone will be safer if we bring him along '
As he came to the center of the room he cleared his throat and said " As you all just heard my name is Leroy and I will take a select few with me to the training portal" he took another breath and before he could continue speaking he grinned from ear to ear as the young man that he was eyeing before stood up.
Jeremy had stood up and shouted "I CHALLENGE YOU LEROY TO A DUEL FOR THE RIGHT TO GO TO THE TRAINING PORTAL!" Jeremy had his eyes closed and stood as tall as he could with his training sword in hand.
Ray was surprised as they had agreed that they wouldn't be able to go and before any of the teachers could say something Leroy with a smile on his face said "Ofcourse you can come I was going to invite you personally"
Everyone was shocked at what had just happened and the teacher rushed to Leroy's side and started to explain who that young man was. But Leroy raised his hand and exclaimed " I have made my choice and I will not go back on my word as an adventurer."
"What's the worst that can happen as long as he stays close nothing will happen to anyone" The teachers looked at him and backed away some of them agreed and some didn't but no one was brave enough to stand against an A Rank adventurer.
The assembly went on and there were a total of 6 that were chosen all of them from the top 10 of the school other than Jeremy. Ray was slightly jealous but was kind of relieved that he wouldn't have to go into a portal just yet. Jeremy didn't stop smiling after being chosen.
"We will be leaving immediately meet me out in front of the school in 10 minutes."
As he said that everyone left the assembly and glared at Jeremy up until he left the schools doors.
"Be careful" Ray said as he looked at Jeremy "Stay by the Adventurer and if it is to hard just leave the portal"
Jeremy looked at Ray and said "What are you my mom?" with a mischievous grin on his face.
Ray scowled at him and didn't say anything more.
Jeremy looked at Ray apologetically and said "I know how weak I am and I know that I won't make it far but I need to do this" He paused and looked at Leroy who was waiting " Don't worry about me I will be back and will tell you about everything that I saw on the other side." he said with a smile as he turned and walked to Leroy.
Leroy loaded the students into a carriage as he sat up front to steer the carriage he invited Jeremy up front with him.
The portal was only about a 10 min Carriage ride away and he wanted to get to know the student who could become a great adventurer one day.
Leroy asked questions about his height and what his training routine was. He was impressed by the answers, what he didn't know was how hard it was for Jeremy to actually complete these workouts.
Leroy then asked about Jeremy's parents and Jeremy went quite as he said that he never met them. But he said that he did know his parents names and what they did for a living with a giant smile on his face.
"Well come on then what are their names don't keep me in suspense" Leroy said cheerfully.
Jeremy got a huge smile on his face as he said "Henry and Debra Sulivan"
Leroy's expression changed in an instant as he said " Your the child of the heroes?.. I have great expectations for you" as Leroy said that they had arrived at the portal.
The portal didn't look like what Jeremy thought a portal would look like as they were in the middle of an open meadow it suddenly changed from a meadow to a dry wasteland that had dried up mud all around. It looked almost as if someone drew a picture and left it in the middle of a meadow there was no swirling lines or energy typ light coming off the portal just a change from happy to gloomy surroundings.
As the group dismounted Jeremy and Leroy walked up to the portal. Jeremy was entranced by the portal and didn't notice he kept walking without Leroy.
Leroy turned around and addressed the group " Stay close to the portal if it starts to rain or we get attacked we will need to leave quickly"
A student in the front with long black hair pulled back into a pony tail piped up and said "Why if it rains?"
"Because the rain is not normal there it is full of mana causing it to weigh much more than normal rain plus the 20 times gravity it will feel like rocks are raining down upon you" Leroy answered.
Lets get going as he turned around he saw Jeremy already in the portal walking a little weird.

Jeremy didn't hear anything as he wasn't paying attention to what Leroy was saying and walked right into the portal. The moment he did felt his body get so heavy that he couldn't hold this upper body up anymore. He looked like someone had just laid out their wet laundry over a clothes line. He wasn't going to give up as soon as he set his mind on something he was determined to do it. He saw the mountains in the distance and decided he would make it to the mountains before he would come back as they were not to far away. Just as he made it about 20 yards in Leroy and the other joined him.
Leroy looked up and shouted "Don't go to far it looks like it will rain soon"
With all the blood rushing to Jeremy's head he could not hear anything still but he assumed that the class was right behind him and he was leading the way being courageous. He continued on panting and wheezing and falling to his knees every couple of steps but after about an hour he made it to the base of the mountain. He finally turned around to see the looks on everyone's faces. However there was no one he could see rain in the distance and Leroy frantically searching for what he could only assume was himself just before he darted out the portal as the rain started to hit Leroy. Jeremy started to walk back to the portal confused at first then before he could make it to far from the mountain he started to get rained on. From the first drop he could feel that he needed to find shelter and he wouldn't make it back to the portal.
He was in so much pain from the constant water droplets he forced his upper body above his legs and had to keep using all his strength to keep it that way as he covered his head with his arms. Not looking to see what the damage was he walked for another 5 minutes in the rain before he came to a small cave and finally collapsed into the opening of the cave. He saw a light in at the top of the cave and decided to move towards that. He couldn't see anymore his glasses were broken and but he could feel his body beat up and sore. He got to the light and finally closed his eyes and lost consciousness.
He was woken up to what seemed like water droplets on his face. He knew it was pointless to leave the cave as he couldn't see anything anyways. He opened his mouth to catch the droplets in his mouth for some water with his eyes closed. As he swallowed the liquid he noticed something in front of him in the darkness of his eyelids he saw.

In bright green this was weird 1 because his eyes were closed and 2 because he has never been able to see that well in his life. He opened his eyes and thought 'what was that how could I see so well'
He started to pay more attention to what he was seeing than ever before he noticed that his peripheral vision was perfect only right in front of him was blurry but then he saw something that he had never saw before.

This has always been in his vision he had just never realized it for it has been there since he was born. His glasses weren't there to actually correct his eyes no one knew that they were just correcting his sight through the blurred out section of the screen.
Jeremy was confused and selected No on accident as he was nervous to see if this was real or he was seeing things.
It then jumped to another screen
