Sect Recruitment

After Gong Shen's life-and-death situation, Ling Tian was already looking and examining what was going on through his mirror.

Ling Tian was impressed with his resilience and wit. He set up a special biome for him to maximize his potential and strength.

The Universal Bow Gate, where he would learn the ways of the bow. Whether that be through the process of learning about space, time, energies like potential and kinetic energy, the cosmos, and wielding the world as his bow.

Ling Tian's current main goal is to teach his disciples to reach the pinnacle and be strong enough to the point that they are only under him.

His side goals are to have fun and act as different roles in society. This time, he decided to take on the role of taking the sect examination and become a sect disciple.

He was deciding whether to be a disciple on Blue Heaven Star or Immortal Yuan Continent. He finally decided on Immortal Yuan Continent as Blue Heaven Star was too weak for his current taste.

Ling Tian used the 'Restaurant Ling Tian' version of himself as a disguise. Which was basically himself but toned down to handsome but not too handsome. Dressed in all black robes with black hair and eyes.

"But what sect do I join?" He wanted a fun sect that was not too strong and not too weak. But then he finally remembered something.

"Why don't I just join that Immortal Sword Sect I 'saved' earlier?" A light bulb appeared above Ling Tian's head.

"System, when is the Immortal Sword Sect having its sect recruitment period?"

"Responding to master, the Immortal Sword Sect will be having its sect recruitment period in fifteen days."

"15 days?" Ling Tian grinned and his eyes glowed white and black, and time went by quickly. It was morning and then dark repeatedly four times.

Ling Tian took a step forward and landed on top of a tree. He looked around and saw many people and carriages heading to the Immortal Sword Sect where it would be having its sect recruitment trial.

The Immortal Sword Sect looked like your typical sect with an immortal-celestial feel and aura to it. It was grand and quite luxurious. The buildings were stylish and the whole place had a faint sword aura around it.

The gate was massive and the signboard was embroidered in gold and said 'Immortal Sword Sect' in bold calligraphy. The words had a sharp sword intent and it seemed to be painted with a sword in hard, yet soft strokes.

In the middle of the sect, you could see a giant sword with many sword marks brimming with many different lingering sword intents made by countless sword experts.

Ling Tian looked around and took note of the cultivation levels of the upcoming disciples. Everyone seemed to have an average cultivation level of Nascent Soul, with the most talented ones being at the peak of Nascent Soul.

Ling Tian decided to have a cultivation of 8th stage Nascent Soul, just a cultivation stage before the Peak Nascent Soul (9th stage) that the most talented of the upcoming disciples would have.

An above-average cultivation level would not allow him to get bullied and at the same time not be too conspicuous.

He arrived at the sect recruitment area and took another look around to see many different sect examination tools.

There were talent testers, a massive stone stele to check the strength of your attacks, a sword manual to test perception, comprehension, and talent in the way of the sword, and more!

'Before testing myself in the sect recruitment trial, I have to come up with a background.' Ling Tian thought deeply.

'My name will be Ling Tian, I am 16 years old, an orphan that cultivated by himself, specializing in Space Dao, martial spirit is a Void Swamp, unclassified grade, and I'll think about the rest later.'

After he was done thinking, an elderly man that looked like his Elder Qi disguise with a long beard and hair, flew up into the air and looked down.

"I am the inner sect elder, Elder Ning. Today I will be the conductor for this year's sect recruitment trial."

"Elder Ning? I heard he was in seclusion for over 50 years, he finally came out?" There were many whispers in the crowd.

Suddenly, Elder Ning's eyes fully glowed with a vibrant blue hue and his intense sword aura spread out and weighed down on everyone.

Almost all the disciples fell to the ground or were struggling. Their eyes were wide open in fear, only a small minority were somewhat calm, but inside, they were struggling to keep their composure.

After two short seconds, the aura faded away and everyone got back up with their legs shaking and sweat forming.

A lot of righteous sect disciples were usually greenhorns and were naïve and ignorant, with little true experience.

"Are you done now? The sect recruitment is a sacred ritual where we recruit disciples into our ranks to grow stronger with no fooling around." Elder Ning's eyes still glowed the same, just with less pressure.

"We will be beginning this year's Immortal Sword Sect sect recruitment trial soon!" Elder Ning shouted with vigor and a faint, undetectable grin. He was reminded of his olden days when he himself took the same trial so many years ago.
