Messed Up Schedules

"Good morning Joseph Rose" It was the next day and Jake was already texting him a job well done Joe knew it.

"Come on Jake calm down, how have you not gotten caught yet?

"Because I got my main man backing me up that is why." Joe could just imagine Jakes laugh making Joe snicker. Joe would do anything for Jake anything but they both knew Joe only killed the corrupt and guilty. If they got caught Joe would go willingly. Meaning Jake was not safe just because he was friends with the articulus Joseph Rose.

"Any news yet Jake?"

"No and there won't be any Joe like I said man you are legendary."

"Yeah okay just keep me posted." Joe put his phone down before Jake could get anything else out there. It was time for him to start his morning.

His morning was the same for the last five years wake up in a new bed everyweek after killing someone. He would then meet as many people in the hotel, or motel as he could the more people knew him the more people he had vouch for him. He was a nice guy, but he had a messy habit of killing people. He went down and grabbed his breakfast and went to his room, locking all three locks. He would then go to his window and peek through the curtains once the coast was clear he would lock that also. How would he get out? Well in the bathroom was a vent that was open, he would jump through the vent, closing it behind himself.

After he did this Joe sat down to enjoy his breakfast and as he did this he opened a bag. A bag that went everywhere with him a small leather bag not even Jake was allowed to touch it. It was always on him he opened it and took out a locket. opening it was what kept him going. It was his first and only love Brittany. Brittany, Scott she was his best friend in high-school girlfriend. Well until Joe found out his best friend was abusing Brittany. Let's just say things didn't end well for anyone and Joesph Rose became a ghost story when he disappeared from home.

Joe stroked the locket and put it back inside the bag when he started coughing on his food. Something else was in the bag nothing should be in that bag. Joe once again took the locket out and then roughly shook the bag upside down and a little folded up piece of paper fell out. Putting the locket safely back inside the bag Joe put the bag in his pocket, and opened the impossible note. He was gonna kill Jake he knew not to touch this bag. Inside read:

"Sorry I just need to Vent....."

Sorry I just need to vent.... What was that suppose to mean? That made no sense. Joe turned the letter over and it just had a arrow pointing up. Up at what, Joe thought for a second before looking towards the bathroom. There was no way anyone knew he went through vents well other than Jake, but he did not seem the type to do this. Joe grabbed his gun hidden under the pillow and creeped towards the bathroom looking up he saw the vent was closed someone was here. Keeping the gun pointed at the vent Joe climbed onto the toilet and pushed on the vent.

He truly didn't know what to expect was there a dead body, was there someone up there, or was it all a joke? The vent lifted with ease and he could not see a thing not even with the light of his flashlight. Risking it Joe put his hand along the bottom of the vent and he felt an envelope. With one quick motion he pushed it out of the vent to the floor it was as light as paper. Once it was on the floor Joe put gloves on and picked the letter up by the corner and shut the bathroom door. Putting his dresser in front of it. Yes he was blocking his way out, but he was also blocking someone's way in.

He set the letter down on the table and sat down in front of it gun held up and ready for anything. First he scanned it for prints with his black light but there were no prints. Next he slowly opened it with a letter opener hoping it wasn't a bomb of some sort. Opening the letter reviled another piece of paper folded up but this time it was full sized, That read:

"Wow I am impressed locking your doors and windows relying on a vent to save you from the real world. That is either encredibly stupid, or very smart, I havent decided. Joesph Rose wow you don't know how long it took me to find you, everyone talks about you, but that isn't the same thing as finding you, but I finally did. Joesph Rose just saying that name leaves shivers down my back I just haven't decided if that is a good thing or not.

Sorry I got distracted back on topic, your a bit of a legend you know or that's at least what Jake says about you. He doesn't shut up does he annoy you? He annoys me. Anyways as you are such a legend I have a task for you, I know, I know you don't do things other people want you to do. That is how people get caught but very soon Jake will inform you on the files I have sent to him. Please Joesph I really need your help. If not to help me I know I make you curious and frustrated putting a note inside your precious bag. Nobody can do that so how did I manage to. Ps.. She is very pretty, but even she has secrets, even she is not that innocent, but are any of us?"

The end of the note was signed as Roses, the color of blood. It was true most rose's were the color of blood, and it was fitting because at the bottom was an enlarged picture of Brittany. The same one that was in his locket. This person would see the color red as they bled to death. The letter was a taunt telling him that whoever this was knew way more about him then he knew about his secret stocker, and he did not like it one bit. Roses, the color of blood. Oh how he liked that saying.
