Remnants of the Past

Third Person Point of View

Chlea stood tall while scratching her head in front of Gayle's room. She now feels uncertain whether or not she 'really' heard the sobbing or if it was just a result of her sleepiness.

Just as she was about to take a step back to her room half-asleep, the sobbing once again made the way to her ears. Based on what she can hear, whoever is crying is trying so hard not to be heard. But there are just these times wherein the more we try to conceal the sound, the harder it becomes.

Chlea hastily followed where the sound is coming from and found out it is from the bathroom. She gently knocked on the door but no one would answer so she twisted the knob open to see who it was. Her jaw drops to see Gayle on the corner of the bathroom hugging her knees. Gayle's eyes were full of tears and her lips quivered.
