Never Too Late

I peeked outside and saw Uncle Ryan along with other men around his age cooking roasted whole pork in charcoal. It is called 'lechon'. A typical Filipino occasion is not complete without it. By that, today is going to be a huge feast for everyone.

Every now and then, a group of people would arrive to greet Uncle Ryan and Auntie Rona. They also gave them gifts and helped with the chores thereafter. A few moments later, their house is filled with people who gradually arrive and helped us with the tasks at hand which is why we finished the chores in no time. This is a common practice by Filipinos to unite and help one another.
