Chapter 4

"Good morning, Mr. Hedalgo and ma'am. How may we assist you?" inquired the saleswoman as they stood within the boutique. He is well-known in this Mall as he is one of the investors and contributors.

"I'm looking for an elegant gown for her. Additionally, please include a bikini, shirt, shorts, or a dress in the selection," he replied.

The saleswoman acknowledged, "Okay, sir. This way, ma'am and sir," leading them. They followed her to the designated area.

"You can take a seat here while waiting," she suggested. Darius complied, occupying himself with his tablet.

The saleswoman inquired, "Do you like this one, ma'am?" Hezekiah, upon checking the price, was taken aback. "Wait, this one is very expensive. $50,000 for this gown?"

"Don't be concerned, madam, as Mr. Hedalgo will take care of the payment."

"But these garments, all of them are quite pricey," she remarked. The cost of one gown could cover a substantial amount of her food.

"No need to worry, madam. Simply choose the dress and clothing that you like," the woman assured her with a smile.

"It's difficult for me to decide. They're all attractive, but they come with a high price tag." she honestly said.

Ma'am, don't be worried ma'am. Simply select whatever you prefer," the girl reassured with a smile.

Hezekiah just picked what she wanted. The first thing she chooses is the shirts and shorts that she would wear for their stay there. She also includes underwear and bikinis.

"I would take this all, miss. My boss would pay for this so I will entirely get it all," she gives the clothes to the lady. "Sure, Mr. Hedalgo would not mind the price anyway. I will just give this to the cashier, and you can choose the gown you like. I will be back." The lady walks away and just roomed around her eyes, hoping to find a nice gown that would suit her.

She was so happy to choose, and when she picked a gown for her to wear at the party, her eyes landed on the dress, which was a lovely peach color, like a calm sunset. It was short, stopping just above the knees, giving a fun but grown-up style. The fabric sparkled when she moved, shining like her happy mood.

"Wow, this is so elegant and simple," she couldn't stop telling herself.

"It suits you, dear," Darius said from behind her.

"Shit, I can feel his breath through my ears," she thought, maintaining her calm.

"Okay, I'll get this, thank you," she managed to reply, though stunned by the situation.

"Give that one to the sales lady and let's go. You're wasting our time. Hurry up!" he said, his tone sharp and impatient.

"What the hell did I say? Did I almost say she is sexy if she will wear it, " Darius asked himself as his secretary brought the dress to the counter.

"She pretty and seems fresh though. " He murmured as playboy Darius whispered in his ears.

"Let's go sir? " she asked.

"Yeah sure, let's go to my apartment. It's only in front of this mall. "

"Pardon? Why should we go there?" She nervously asks.

"Why not? Are you afraid to be alone with me? Many girls want to have time with me and do crazy things with me. " He gave Hezekiah a lingering look that made the young woman nervous.

"No, I will not go with you, " she directly said.

"Why are you stuttering? Are you nervous? I am gentle in bed, " He said while whispering to her ears.

"What are you talking about? " she was nervous and she could feel that her cheeks were burning.

"You're so funny. I'm not interested in you. You're not attractive. Let's go there and get changed the makeup artist is there and she will help you with your makeup."

"Okay, sir. " She felt uneasy about how Darius looked at her but she just ignored it.

"I'm not attractive? That stings. I have no interest in him at all; his attitude is terrible. It's frustrating that he thinks I would ever be drawn to him. Ugh, it's just so annoying!" she silently told herself as they arrived at his apartment.

"Dress that up and fix it so it looks presentable and she doesn't look human being," said the boss as he entered the other room.

"Yes, sir," replied the two women with wide smiles, followed by meaningful laughter.

"What's funny? Let's hurry up and finish this nonsense," she said and sat in front of the mirror.

"We're not laughing at you, ma'am. It's just that sir Darius seems to like you," one of the women said.

"That's crazy. That's never going to happen."

"Are you his new Secretary ma'am?" The other girl asks.

"Unfortunately, yes. If only there was a better job offer for me, I wouldn't put up with that person's attitude," she said sadly.

"I'd feel the same way, ma'am," said the woman.

"I heard from the gossip that Sir is a flirt, but it seems like almost every woman wants to score with him," she said, confident that their conversation couldn't be heard because the room was closed.

"Maybe, and I also heard that he had his own company before taking over his dad's, and rumor has it that almost all his secretaries... he has slept with them," another woman commented.

Hezekiah suddenly cleared her throat and looked at the woman fixing her hair.

"Are you sure? That sounds like fake news," she said.

"I don't know. So be ready, ma'am, you might be next," one woman joked.

"No way. I have a boyfriend," she proudly and happily replied.

After they finished dressing her up and fixing her hair, she walked out and saw her boss, who seemed impatiently waiting for her.

He looked at her, and she couldn't quite figure out his reaction.

"What the heck, she's gorgeous. I want to strip her gown and claim her in my bed," Darius thought to himself, cursing and scolding himself internally.

"Let's go. We're going to be late," he said, grabbing her by the waist.

Hezekiah was speechless. She almost closed her eyes when he whispered, "You look like a goddess, but you're still ugly," Darius teased.

She raised her eyebrow and stepped away from her boss.

"Let's go." Darius walked away whle laughing at her reaction.
