23 - Leadership

Let's be honest here, I wouldn't know what to think if someone wasn't thinking for me. And I was supposed to be the leader, and yet, I disappointed not just everyone else but myself too when I started following what others told me to.

But a good leader listens to his people, right?

Perhaps not.

I know Phoenix X would be a good leader though. Strong-willed, skilled, and she listens.

So maybe a good leader is someone who does best for their people.

The question is, am I a good leader?

Phoenix X knew that Project Holocaust wasn't worth fighting, and is less worth fighting for.

I am trying to do what's best for my people. As long as I do what I'm told, my people win.

I win.

Whatever I do, I'll make myself proud.

I'll make myself my leader.

I kept repeating that one sentence as I walked into the metal building, through the two glass doors, with my heart thumping loudly and sweat trickling down my leather-covered back.
