Chapter 48: B and E Again

“Then we’ll have to get past them. Too bad we couldn’t just shoot them,” Mallory said as her blood boiled.

“I’ll take care of them. You find a way over the fence.”

“Deal.”

As soon as they stepped outside, the dogs appeared. Two, but they were huge and snarling. Her mouth went dry.

“Kick them,” Trey said.

“I can’t kick a dog.”

“You were just ready to shoot them,” he said

A growl came from deep in both dogs’ throats. “Now.”

She ran towards the dog who attempted to jump. She kicked out at him and he backed away with a whimper. Guess no one had ever done that to him.

Trey dispatched the other dog and grabbed her hand. They ran toward the fence. She hoped it wasn’t electrified.

It wasn’t and they scaled it with ease.

“Now we just have to figure out where we are.”

“Start walking,” Trey said.
