Chapter 12: Boy Talk
When I’m already walking toward the front porch steps, Corey threw me a deep and meaningful stare.
Before entering, I paused. My feet were suddenly frozen to the ground while my chest was pounding. My feet wanted to dance. I know that it was the feeling of being alive after seeing someone.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” I announced calmly, but I couldn’t hide my smile.
Corey followed me inside.
“Wait, I didn’t say anything,” Corey laughed.
“You owe me big time, sis.” Greg told me when I threw myself at the sofa, as usual whenever I get home. I didn’t know that Greg was also home, and he was playing chess with Andy at the dining room. I wonder, for the second time, why my brothers were too early to be home.
“Admit it, he was good.” I told Greg then I planted a kiss Andy on his forehead.
“Why do you girls do that? I mean asking favors and stuff as if you think boys will give in?” Greg asked.
