After being teased by Su Tang, her usually shy nature began to creep back in, and she bowed her head, her face flushed, not daring to utter a word.


Su Tang helplessly shook her head, deciding not to tease her any further.


Suddenly, everything darkened before her eyes as a tall figure obstructed their path.


Gaiyin stood before Su Tang, his face lowered, and deep in his eyes was an unmistakable warmth.


Out of her immense happiness, Su Tang scanned Gaiyin quickly, voicing her concerns, "How did it go? Are you hurt?"


Then, like a child seeking praise, Su Tang excitedly showed Gaiyin the basket on her back filled with Gugu eggs.


"Gaiyin, look! I made this basket today—it can hold loads of stuff! And see these Gugu eggs I found in the reed cluster!"


Gaiyin patted Su Tang's head and in his voice was a hint of smugness, "Su, you're amazing!"
