They Were Both Quite Compatible

Meanwhile, Ai Zhiyi was also secretly watching Chu Weizu who was looking at him with a smile, eying every corner of Chu Weixu's face that looked fresh with his hair still wet.

In Ai Zhiyi's eyes, Chu Weixu had firm facial features. People who saw him for the first time would conclude that Chu Weixu had a bad temper and was stern despite his handsome face. That's why many girls adored him in school, even now. The figure of 'bad boy' and indifferent was always attractive and seemed cooler so that girls could lose their dignity and manners as a woman.

However, out of all that, there was a tenderness that depicted an affection that couldn't be concealed at all on his face. Only Ai Zhiyi could see it.

Hence, Ai Zhiyi always felt that it was a weak point that made him unable to scold Chu Weixu for too long.

Chu Weixu stood behind the sunlight that came in through the European-style window, so that he looked like a god in human clothes, welcoming Ai Zhiyi with kindness and grace. Ai Zhiyi blinked, trying to distract himself from the awe.

Chu Weixu's eyes were brilliant and shone like diamonds that had a noble luster. Warm and quiet. However, it could turn out to be as sharp as the world's sharpest blade capable of slicing through silk floating in the air. It could be extremely deadly, piercing like a sword piercing deep into your heart as anger overtook Chu Weixu, making him look like a demon from hell. There was no special description other than blessings and sorrow.

Even though Chu Weixu had never shown that bad side to Ai Zhiyi, it didn't mean that Ai Zhiyi had never seen it. Ai Zhiyi had even witnessed several times firsthand how Chu Weixu lashed out at people who used to harass Ai Zhiyi when they were still in school and it was terrible. No wonder many of their classmates warned him not to get too close to Chu Weixu.

However, in the end, they both ended up living together without people knowing, which made the warning just be words. Ai Zhiyi's feelings weren't hypocritical even if it wasn't planned, and neither was Chu Weixu. It appeared suddenly like a fate.

'Love can suddenly knock on your heart, accept and ignore it is your choice', and Ai Zhiyi chose to accept and never regretted it.

"Xiaoyi, good morning," Chu Weixu greeted warmly. He then continued in a slightly whining tone, "I've been trying to stop myself from smoking for two days. I'm fighting to the death for it. Let me smoke today, okay? Tomorrow I'll take another break."

Chu Weixu's voice was deep and deep that sounded alluring, even many people had fallen in love just by hearing his voice. Besides his face, his voice was one of the provenances of attraction that anyone could fall in love with.

Ai Zhiyi rolled his eyes. After he said his words, he was reluctant to say anything else. He had given a rebuke once and was reluctant to reprimand Chu Weixu twice. A dissident like Chu Weixu was only temporary and would never last long.

If he was very obedient today, then tomorrow Chu Weixu would be acting like an unruly brat with a different mistake. It had become Chu Weixu's habit long ago, like a characteristic that Ai Zhiyi easily remembered.

Taking a deep breath, Ai Zhiyi calmly walked over to the dining table.

Chu Weixu followed the principle of: 'fighting and disagreement are certain because conflict can make lovers understand each other', so he didn't feel offended at all by the ignorance. He realized that his attitude yesterday was too selfish and distrustful.

Rubbing the tip of the cigarette on the jamb, Chu Weixu felt compelled to obey Ai Zhiyi and then followed Ai Zhiyi to the dining table. He asked in a calm tone, "Why so early in the morning? Your class schedule is at ten, right?"

"Before leaving, I'll help you prepare the ingredients downstairs," Ai Zhiyi responded casually. He pulled up a chair and sat down very gracefully. Normally he would always sit opposite Chu Weixu so that he could stare at the man silently while they were eating, but this time he chose to sit beside him.

Chu Weixu smiled. Seeing the man sitting beside him, Chu Weixu looked at Ai Zhiyi with sparkling eyes.

Ai Zhiyi shifted his soup bowl, inhaling the savory aroma that made him hungry. Hot steam instantly hit his smooth white face, leaving a rosy trail on his cheeks that looked like a freshly ripened apple. He stirred the soup, letting the spices mix before sipping the soup with the big potato pieces in it.

Chu Weixu knew that Ai Zhiyi really liked potatoes, so he purposely put a lot of big potato pieces into the soup. Glancing at Ai Zhiyi, he asked, "How does it taste?"

"Not bad. Just a little salty for me."

Chu Weixu frowned, feeling doubtful about that opinion. Before Chu Weixu took the soup off the stove, he tasted it several times to make sure that the taste was good. But, Ai Zhiyi had just commented, so Chu Weixu immediately took a spoon and tasted it once more. "Hmm? I think it's fine. I just added two spoonfuls of salt earlier. You told me before, didn't you? So I followed your instruction."

Ai Zhiyi did often instruct Chu Weixu in the kitchen, such as 'don't put pepper in fish; don't add celery; don't add onions to vegetables; don't add too much salt', but Chu Weixu never understood about 'measure' and 'adjust', and finally Chu Weixu followed Ai Zhiyi's intructions without thinking.

Shaking his head slowly, Ai Zhiyi stuck in his opinion. "No. It's still salty. But it doesn't matter if there's rice."

"Want me to get some rice?" Chu Weixu asked, he felt melted in his heart.

"No need. It's good, though. It's still edible."

It sounded cruel, but Chu Weixu felt embarrassed when he heard it. He rubbed his nape, thinking that he should have added one and a half teaspoon of salt earlier.

Ai Zhiyi actually had a poor appetite recently, but couldn't say that he couldn't eat much to Chu Weixu so he could only dodge with a subtle refusal to prevent conflict. He then returned to eating his soup quietly.

Suddenly, a soft hand touched Ai Zhiyi's face, causing Ai Zhiyi to freeze instantly. Then, the fingers stroked Ai Zhiyi's smooth hair.

At this distance, Chu Weixu could smell Ai Zhiyi's shampoo, so he couldn't help but say in admiration, "You smell is so good."

Ai Zhiyi smiled, making his face twice as gentle. He turned to Chu Weixu and said in a graceful voice even though his words were a little mocking, "Save your praises and eat your food now. After this, let me dry your hair. You even make me have to keep on caring for you like a brat because you can't take care of yourself."

Hearing his words, Chu Weixu giggled. He took a soup spoon, poured a few spoonfuls into his bowl. He said, showing they were quite compatible.

"Your hair is also a little long. Looks like we both can't take care of ourselves. How about when you return home, let me trim the bangs that almost cover your eyes?"
